Something needs to be done about lethal arrow

Ok so was in pvp and 2 other players and I noticed some player killing people outside nik, we tried like 30+ times to kill this guy and failed every single time, why?

Because he was spamming lethal arrow from stealth with trap poisons and each lethal arrow hit was hitting me for 12k....

This is boarder line an exploit with how effective it is..... Im a 750 player in pvp gear, have been pvp'ing for over a year and a half and I didnt get more than one attack off on this player before I died 30+ tries in a row. The fact that a decent pvper can be 2 shot before being able to do anything is absurd.

If you wear headphones you can EASILY avoid them even with a desyn. just dodge roll or block its that simple. I started PvP'ing around the clock work city update. Its not rocket science. Theyre sniping because theyre obviously noob so pop a detect and burst them. Snipers are not hard to kill. And if they do kill you in a combat (without ganking you unexpectedly) then that just means you suck or you got outplayed by a sniper. The only thing that needs to be fixed about sniping is the desync.

A good Bow Ganker is hard to detect or kill. They have the advantage of distance attacks which is the whole point of Sniping.

there's some out there that will kill you before you ever hear the sound.

Its not the Snipe itself that bothers me. Its the sound and health desync that happens half the time... even in non-crowded fights. Same thing happens with bow ulti as well

I might agree if it weren’t for the fact that the bow is already pretty useless. It really can’t stand more nerfs right now imo.

Ah, trapping poison is my favorite poison besides conspicuous (no invisibility). Thanks for reminding me to make some!

Reduce damage 40% and remove cast. Give bow a spammable. I use it as an opener but on a non-gank build, pretty much better off most the time without it. On a ganker, it’s not really needed

I dont know why but some times i can hear the snipe sometimes i cant, even if im expecting it. Sometimes 2 shots are incoming at a really fast speed that u cant react.

Call your dragonknight friend, let him flap wings, laugh at result?
Use anti-stealth stuff, magelight, detection potions, etc, then smack him out of his sniper leathers?
Go sneaky yourself, and counter-gank?
Stack shields, be ready to unload when he reveals his position with the next arrow?
Ready heals, play target, heal up while friend rushes the sniper once he shoots you?

At least that's what people did to my poor lil nightblade archer girl when I tried that trick in Cyrodil...

Nope. Ive been killed by snipe so many times. It may be delayed/desynced but you will ALWAYS hear the snipe sound effect and the yellow glow on you before it actually hits

Ah yes. The 40m stealth detects, when they reveal, they are always in a safe place and will just hide again. Also, the sniper will just ignore a DK if they aren't stupid.

I agree with something need to be done with lethal arrow. Since it is call lethal arrow, it should one-shot kill anything, otherwise it should call nonlethal arrow.

It depends on your build how much lethal arrow works against you also, I found that lethal arrow are best used against people running glass cannons builds, other builds and depending on the type of armor they are using not so much really.

GiT GuD is what OP needs to do.

If OP was going somewhere and this sniper happened to be in the path, they could have just stealthed and gone through, but nope, they just have to die several times to same guy, then here on the forums to cry like the babies they are.

Dodge Roll as soon as your hear the twang of the Bow, Snipe has a long travel time, Block and you will mitigate 50% of the damage, stealth or use invisible pots, use Sentry and pop a detect potion, cast radiant mage light, cast revealing flare.

Don't just in stupid to die. Learn to Play buddy.

There is nothing about bow builds that make them harder to kill. Gap closers are cheap.

The only required stamina weapon in PVE, and the only stamina weapon with a soft cc, an interrupt, or an instant knockback is useless?


Bow is OP. Some of the skills that aren't used as much just need slight buffs.Draining shot needs more range, Bombard and the interrupt morph of PI need a direct damage buff,

AND Lethal Arrow needs a 2 second cooldown because insta-killing someone before they can even react breaks the game.

there is also the CP passive given with Lethal Arrow that increases the defile %.
can have like 30% healing reduced to like 40-45%
