NPC that can exit a fight through portals while in combat. Time to Nerf Trove Scamps!

Why does this special mob have the ability to exit a fight while in combat? No other mobs and certainly no players, can go through entrances or exits while in combat. Why does this one NPC get this special ability? Discuss.

    Because someone on the ESO dev team is definitely a fan of Diablo III!

    (I avoid PVP, so I've not chased after special Scamps, but I've certainly noticed that some of the ESO game mechanics I found most annoying seemed to be heavily inspired by or directly lifted from Diablo III.)

    Still haven't been able to get a definitive answer on whether or not special Scamps drop portals to Greed's Domain or Whimsydale when they die, though. :p (I may be bored past death with Diablo III, but I still want those damn Cosmic Wings, dammit. And now I want them on my ESO characters....)

    Because killing a scamp is easy enough, so what would be the point of it carrying valuable items? Just interrupt when it starts the animation to summon the portal. Gives you plenty of time.

    Well it was immune to my knock backs. I assumed bash and root wouldn't work either.

    One of the spawns in the Ad side is well known to be bugged and is not interruptable.

    You can't interrupt the final teleport on all of the scamp spawns, but you can interrupt the ones in between where it spawns and where it starts the final teleport (assuming you don't get the bugged one).

    I get more annoyed by the swarms of Xivkyn light attacking me making it impossible to target the scamp, but if I haven't walked in on it teleporting I can usually nuke it in time. Still sucks walking in on one that's already channeling the final teleport, though. ):
