Dungeon Finder disaster groups can be funny!

I just used group finder to do a run of vet WGT. Hoping to finally get my SPC shoes. I'm on heals. People keep wiping on crematory guards...I get told by the tank "can you actually heal?" I ignore it, since I'm healing my butt off. The group keeps wiping to trash, so I nicely ask the tank if they could try to taunt the mobs or crowd control them. They replied saying that they "don't taunt monsters, only bosses". WHILE THEY ARE TANKING WITH A LIGHTNING STAFF. Anyways we limp our way to the Planar Inhibitor stage, to which we wipe 3 times in a row...then someone leaves the group. Then the other two vote to kick me! I look in my inventory, and see that I picked up the shoes I needed, so I don't say anything, and just wait to be removed from the instance. Not sure whether to laugh or cry. So much wrong with the group...man a bad tank can really ruin a whole group. But I got my shoes!

I recently had a group in vet fang lair, one of the dps a stamblade found it necessary to use shadow cloak and sneak around the place hiding behind pillars etc. We didn’t kick as we actually couldn’t stop laughing.

Recently a massive amount of "fake" dps. People who queue in for damage on PvP builds, with PvP gear that do nothing but hold everyone back.

The occasional fake tank. Sometimes they'll slot a taunt but seem to have no knowledge of how to handle combat in the role.

Healers that don't throw shards, orbs, ele drain, combat prayer, or even springs. While queueing only for healer too.

Max CP players of all roles that don't seem to understand how many of the dungeons work.

It's not all bad though. For every 10 disaster runs I encounter a group where everything goes smooth and we get through it all in a timely efficient manner. Much respect to those groups.

(Much respect to those trying to learn the dungeons and roles as well. I have nothing bad to say about those folks. They eventually become the players that make up the smooth groups.)

I’ve been leveling/ playing a new Warden healer and there have been so many fake tanks or just terrible, terrible ones that I’m keeping an ice staff front barred for when they inevitably die or aren’t using taunts. I’ve never seen a game so poor at explaining roles and skills.

Speakin of low DPS, I had a new one the other day: a lvl 39 magsorc (unknown CP, if any), who spammed the Vampire feed ability. That's it. Just fed her happy way through BC1.

Strating chowing down at the bottom of the stairs, and finished eating at Rylis.

Just had a fake tank that didnt want to run with people who are still leveling. The dungeon was blessed crucible, he had 530 cp and requested to be kicked. After we told him no, he said and I quote "I dont run dungeons with noobs". Not sure who the noob is here, but we nailed it with 3 people!

Me on my warden Tank and my gf on their healer, direfrost keep normal. (leveling our toons)
We got two eh good dps *cough* one of them always taunted with their froststaff (i guess it was the only attack they did?) and ignored me (was funny watching the boss run around, confused on who to attack) and the other player was spamming their vampire skills. The whole time. Nothing else.

Before the endboss i asked if they 'Please' could not spam their vampire skills n stuff and i suddenly get all the hate that i don't own the game and i should go back playing pokemon XD and they could play however they want
Never had such a good laugh in a while, i just wanted them to do damage! but obviously that is wrong.

i remember i did vWGT once and there was a really bad tank with low hp and he died to one shots the whole time and had problems taunting and i got blamed for 'not healing' and i should slot 'breath of life' so that i can heal him better (i always have it slotted for pugs) and i was just like... suuuuure.... sadly i really wanted that helm so i just stayed in there xD

Spamming vampire skills, that's a new one for me In another run recently I ran into a magplar dps who spammed RD on full health baddies almost constantly, and a stam dk dps wearing pirate skeleton and spamming Dizzying Swing while using the Llambris flaming battleaxe. He was a little too into his character But running into the occasional oddball is refreshing, in a world of stuck up PVE Elitists.

I think you messed up there.. So much wrong with the community...

I wish Zos would make a beginning tutorial for people to experience when they hit level 10. It would briefly describe what it means to be dps, heals, or tank, and demonstrate a few moves, and inform the player how to perform that role. That would go a LONG way with newbies, who may legit not know what abilities taunt, or a dps learning about AOE. Better equipping our community with knowledge is what I'd like to see We have a decent community, lots of people who theorycraft and make and share builds, there are a lot of resources outside the game.

They pretty much tried this via the skill advisor - sure it's not hands on, but it's flaming garbage non-the-less! I wouldn't trust ZOS to guide our builds when they can hardly guide this game through development lol
