The voice acting paired with facial animation is some of the very best I've seen in any MMO truthfully .

facial animations aren't bad at all. I honestly think the dialogue point of view is a little too zoomed in kind of like Oblivion and should be zoomed out some more like Skyrim. Also, sometimes the npc body/hand animations that are copy and pasted are overused and seem very forced or algorithmic.

I think ZOS should zoom out when looking at NPC's in the dialogue mode, and the dialogue box with the character response options should be placed at the bottom of the screen. Would make it seem like you are still in the world and not in a privately instanced conversation. Also, the hand/body animations should be used more selectively and not just copy and pasted for general sentiments. Sometimes the NPC's do these really strange pointing animations or something when they are talking about something that wouldn't warrant that at all. It seems very algorithmic at times.

If the animation team has the time and ambition for it, sure, there's always room for improvement. I think there are bigger issues to be addressed first, though, in the areas of general movement and combat animation.

Facial animations are acceptable, but check animations on mounts how they moving left or right or stopping and compare it with ESO ones, that's alot difference. Also running animations looks like having carrot in arse. And that jumping part, where you flying slowly in air, well .. i will stop here.

I love questing, always have always will.

But this is so low on the list that it's in the realms of I don't care very much.

Thing is, it doesn't ruin my immersion or anything - I used to do PnP with little figurines and hex grids and imagination - I don't need everything on screen to be super-realistic, because I can use my imagination.

They fixed facial animations before and made NPC's very good at displaying subtle emotional cues, which are important in communication. But they still have a problem with making NPC's look near-expressionless while displaying a large amount of emotion. It's always a bit weird to hear the voice actor sobbing their broken heart out with that slightly annoyed default expression on the NPC's face, or laughing in joy/drunkenness with that slightly annoyed default expression on the NPC's face. It's certainly not a "fix this NOW or I'll stop playing forever" thing, but it's high on my "personal QOL" list.

I definitely wish they would just fix the Dunmer forehead wrinkle that has no reason to be there so we can fix the perma-RBF.
Dunmer aren't always angry, sometimes they would be laughing hysterically like while watching another person roast in lava.
