Tanky Stamblade, any suggestions?

I want to try something other than the typical stealth ninja style. I like the idea of a tanky gladiator type NB with sword/board and no cloaking.

I know shields are important and we have none (Except for bone shield, brawler and the psijic passive), but is it still doable? Is it as simple as just using 5 heavy? Im not looking to tank an entire group, I would just love to be in the middle of all the action and not have to run away in stealth every time I fail to dodge something lol

Has anyone had any success with this? I want to give it a shot, but stoop kid is alittle afraid to leave his stoop. Figured I'd ask before committing a bunch of farm time and gold to a new build

Brass fortress 5 pc/ 1pc pirate skeleton..then mess around with a dmg or sustain set..tbh idk how that’d work as I’ve never used brass fortress, and I’ve only played for 4 months so idk a lot that’s just what comes to mind

Depneds on how tanky you want to be. My khajit stamblade runs 5 med 2 light fort brass and night mother's embrace for sneakiness and bloodspawn for my ultimate heal. Works extremely well. Through CP you can cloak and hit resistance cap and still enjoy the medium armor build. If you went heavy you'd definitely be tanky af. Since summerset my hardly ever can be killed stamblade dies a bit more now...lol wolfhunter dlc will be helping with that. If you wanted to be stupid tanky ironblood is real strong but you lose mobility. My tanks run it and wow. Reactive armor is awesome as well and you won't lose any mobility like with ironblood. On top of that with a disabling effect it's a 35% damage reduction. So only hard crowd control will proc it. Reactive may be the strongest while active damage reducing set. Until the update of the new dlc sloads can proc itself while on you according to Gina, not good. But yeah totally doable sounds like you want a sap tank build that can put out some damage. And that is very doable. I've seen youtubers wrecking people with these builds and not the old sap tank builds. Just look into more recent YouTube builds for sap tanks use less health more resource and more damage. 5 heavy will probably be necessary for the way they've changed light attack damage. When you get stunned down with 3 or 4 decent players heavy armor can help you through, where as the others not so much. Best of luck to you.

Same here, Brass Fortress, Mighty Chudan and Blessed/Ebon depending on the situation, all medium. As far as what to do with my magicka, I always had a nice experience using "mirage" for an additional resistance buff - if there are no shields, then at least this, I always say to myself...
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

    Kelces - Argonian Templar
Farel Donvu - Dark Elf Sorcerer
Navam Llervu - Dark Elf Dragonknight
    Aniseth - Wood Elf Warden
    Therediel - Wood Elf Templar
    Nilonwy - Wood Elf Nightblade
    Jurupari - Argonian Warden
    Kú-Chulainn - Argonian Sorcerer
    PC - EU

Just wear 5 heavy damage sets and bloodspawn. That way you have damage and tankiness/healing with masterbow. if you want to be more tanky use protective jewelry trait. 22 - 24k hp should be fine if youre going to solo pvp

Hmm glad I asked, nobody mentioned any of the sets I was looking at (like plague doctor lol). Wasn't thinking much about brass fortress, I'll give that a try with my bone pirate, and I already have some chudan and blood spawn stuff just chilling in the bank so they could be an easy change

Thanks for the replies, idk jack about being tanky lol :)

    Then cast Blur/Mirage while fighting.

Wait is this pvp or pve?

Are you trying to be an actual tank for dungeons?

I use 5pc Warrior Poet, 5pc Plague Doctors and 2 Nights Silence daggers.
After buff food, I have 41k health, 31k stam and 20k spell and phys. resistance.
You could also go with 1pc Pirate Skeleton for an extra 3k resist then use Plague Doctors weapons to still have 41k health.

I still have 2700 weapon damage and that goes up past 4k in a dungeon with weapon power potion so can do a fair bit of damage.
I'm quite often the last of the group alive and manage to get everyone up without taking too much damage.
    I've solo'd a few world boss' also.
