How am I supposed to PvP? (Xbox ONE)

I really cannot believe how bad this PvP is...you can't move, you can't travel, you can't attack. How am I supposed to play this game if I can't do anything because of the *** poor servers?
1) Are all platforms this bad?
2) Could my internet be the problem?

What Platform/Server and Campaign are you in? I can’t speak for consoles, but the lower pop campaigns on PC NA tend to provide a much more stable experience.

Its not you, but the fact that zos knew about it before the event started means that they don't plan on doing anything about it. I mean lets be real pvp has been broken since june 5th and everytime they try putting a band aid on the problem it falls right off, i would say make a non cp oriented build and go to battlegrounds since its super smooth there and pretty fun too(aside from sloads stacking). I stopped paying for eso the moment summerset came out since i figure that we were and schedule to go through a full game update cycle (2-3 months) with broken pvp.

Highly unlikely they do anything to fix pvp. Regardless if they try. I think they are unable or don't care for pvp that much.

Most likely the same reason I'll cancel my sub that I've had for 3yrs. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom or whoever actually pays attention to these posts.

PVP performance has been decent. PVP has been fun. There has been some lag at times but most of the time it is within tolerance range and the abilities are still firing correctly(This is even at 3 way large keep battles)

Xbox 1 original and Xbox 1S have a hard time handling the game. My suggestion is to upgrade. See my sig. It is like playing a different game.

If you cannot buy the 1X now at least get the SSD. That alone is a big change at least it was for me. The SSD prevented all crashing to console screen. The load screens and loading into areas with large number of players.

I bought my SSD first and used it on my XBOX1 Original and it was like I upgraded the system. I was amazed how the SSD allowed the game to play so much better.

Good luck and I hope your game experience gets better.

Someone beat me to it but bgs are plagued with sorcs can’t get in without seeing at least 4 minimum. Ranged dps in general is dominating bgs.

    Wait a tick.....
I have the X1S, the white one. Does the console make that much of a difference?

My problem is I’m in PvP, and then when I hit a dirt, the game stops. Everyone is standing there, and the game kicks me due to “Unable to connect to server. Make sure you have a valid internet connection”

As someone who has the One X and eso an a SSD, that does nothing to prevent me from crashing. SSD gives a great improvement to load times and the One x can stop you from getting super low frame rate but nothing can prevent the crashes. If you are not crashing, it isn't your hardware. You're just lucky. Count your blessings.

They don't care if one person threatens to cancel their sub it would take a huge amount of players to cancel their subs and even then they might not even blink because they make so much money on the crown store! Plus they realize that there is nothing on the market to challenge them for player retention... Especially on consoles!!!

As bad as things are on consoles there is absolutely nothing better in the mmorpg category on consoles and it might be this way for quite a long time!

I have both an Xbox one original and an Xbox one X. The server related crashes effect both equally... The only thing is that I get more memory leak crashes on my Xbox one original!
In my opinion the Xbox one X is a little more stable but if anyone purchases the X thinking they will be crash free is only fooling themselves!

The crashes are very in frequent. Not non existent. Before my upgrade I would experience this scenario.

    1. Moving through unpopulated area of Cyro
    2. Come upon a large battle. Normally scroll or keep
    3. Upon a large enough change in the area. Large deaths all at once or keep change. Like walls or flip. My console would stop loading. It would freeze/hiccup.
    4. Either I would then hit a loading screen or be dropped to console screen (no error message) just a complete crash.

I speculated that my device could not handle the texture load changes and other factors all at once. The app would just crash as a result.

My first attempt at resolving this was to increase the access to the data in the client side by getting a SSD. I noticed right away that the above scenario almost stopped happening completely. Within the first month of owning the SSD. I crashed one time. I did not see another crash for two months. Another thing that changed was my load times when coming into a large contested area. No more black shadow people and my keep flip load screens ceased all together.

My load screens between places averaged about 15 seconds after the SSD upgrade. The game at this time was running very well for me and I was impressed how big of a change I received with this change.

A few months later my pre-ordered xbox1x arrived and my game play for me exploded. Load times where decreased even further to about a 12 second average. I would sometimes spike to 24 to 30 seconds but this was rare.

All crashes to the console screen ceased until the next major update. I then experienced some crashed but this time it was different. No longer would it just crash the game. I would see the lost internet connection error and the game would still be running. This spiked for about a month and susided. I experienced if I can remember about 9ish crashes in this time frame.

Something else to keep in my mind. My guild mates running the non SSD and origanal or S are having major issues while my game is stable and enjoyable.

After summerset the game did get a little unstable and I again saw some spikes in game issues but this time it was the screen freeze and I believe the time before that it was the infinite load screens which again was texture driven and the software had to be modified to get around the load screen issue. However where my mates experienced infinite load screens all the time. My infinite load screen happend about 50% less.

The screen freeze was terrible and occurred frequently.

Since this last round of fixes my game play is back to very enjoyable and stable. No crashes of any kind since the last round of fixes have been implemented.

If I am just lucky then I will count my blessings.

@Hammy01 not a threat as more of a statement. If the games performance for me is crap, I'll just move on.

Hmmm, I also have an SSD and the Xbox one X. I also have great internet. However, I am currently seeing people not loading in and I am also having tremendous lag spikes. I do not DC as much as my guildies, but I do DC. Prior to midyear Mahem, I also reinstalled the game to see if that would help. If I stay away from Vivec, my performance definitely increases.

I play in Shor most of the time. I do play in Vivec from time to time and there is some lag in Vivec that I do not experience in Shor. Shor is pop locked frequently and the performance is stable from my perspective.

I forgot to mention that is large keep battles there is a drop in frames for sure but not getting kicked.

I am not typing any of this because I think you should upgrade if you are experiencing issues. I typed it so people know there are options that do make a difference.
