The main complaint about the group finder is the fact that too many people queue for roles they have no intention of filling just to bypass the DPS "wait" queue. (I'm looking at you, fake tanks and fake healers).
I propose the following change to how the group finder creates the random groups...Incorporate the friends list and ignore list. Players on your friends list will have "priority" when choosing which players to group with you. Conversely, players on your ignore list will NEVER be chosen. This will allow us to sort of "filter" players when using the group finder.
Group with a really good player and cleared the dungeon in record time? Add them to your friend list to increase the chance of grouping with them again. Have that fake tank, or DPS that's only light attacking? Add them to your ignore list so they won't be chosen in the future.

It seems obvious to make it tied to account rather than character, so the annoying player is ignore cone what may but then imagine the screaming here when said player can’t even create a new character to find groups.
Some game had an system there players with reports tended to be grouped togetherAgenericname wrote: »The main complaint about the group finder is the fact that too many people queue for roles they have no intention of filling just to bypass the DPS "wait" queue. Seems like there may be a life lesson wrapped up in that scenario. That could be one of the more positive aspects of it.
