I moved over to PC and for the first time have jerks in the public group finder! Xbox was nicer

I can't believe that I have never had a bad time in eso joining to do a random pub dungeon. I jump over to PC and am level 35 and get a crew that is rude and quits at the final boss after we only died once in the dungeon. I know I am a fairly new tank, but come on. I was doing ok... maybe not great, but not terrible. We died on the final boss once and got her down to 25 percent health. On Xbox this never happened to me and I ran pub dungeons a hundred times. PC community should be friendlier and better. This is sad. Makes me second guess spending all the time to switch over and start a new.

Well, it sounds like this was One experience you had as you didn't refer to any others. Some people are like that on here, its 50/50 really. I have experienced a lot worse on Xbox personally.

Well, thats good to hear. i hope it is a one time thing. I know its a game and to relax, but I was so shocked because it has never happened in around 50 hours of play.

Really? I played PS4 for a year now and and coming back to PC since the horrible (IMO) PC beta. The community on PC has been much more friendly and helpful. I've had multiple randoms actually stop to just chat with me, PS4 is a mess of advertising, and arguments.

Thing is, it won't be. You better get thicker skin bucko. And 50 hours is nothing. You have barely scratched the surface of the the game with only 50 hours.

I'm on PS4 and there are also some people that go out of their way to ruin people's experiences. Just gotta rise above it.
It definitely depends on the time you log into the game too. Like, on weekends I find that the trolls have a natural molecular duplication. Some times at nights, they also are around. I don't find that a lot like on some other games that I've played. I'm on SAST and I'm on the NA server so basically my nights would be their mornings in 80% of the cases. This works really well for me.
Maybe rather join a guild and play dungeons and things with them? :)

The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I don't think community is better here or there. You just had a bad experience, it happens. I had a lot more good experiences than bad on PC.

It was even better the day I joined a friendly guild.

My best advice is avoid vet runs until higher cp, even if you've done them in the past unless you are in with a guild running them. It's still no guarantee (some reason 250-450 cp tanks seem to think they know more about dps than dps do) and usually the 1st one to die is the one griping how someone else wasn't doing good enough, or the healer never drops stam shards and both dps are stam, etc.. OR the healer starts up on how you are too far away using a bow for them to easily heal you and yet the floor is littered with persistent flame aoe all around the boss you can't really stand in or expect the healer to pull you through it for 10 minutes.

I personally get irked when someone jumps into a harder vet dungeon saying things like "This is my 1st time ever in this dungeon" and they then ignore mechanics you've explained in chat, or after several wipes leave, but it's more the game's fault for being vague with what they are jumping into. One of the pitfalls to random grouping vs. guild runs.

I would honestly grind in a place with bunch of smaller mobs that constantly respawn and eat some xp scrolls (think the mid year event will give double xp but only in pvp, but still easy points) and level up quickly. Once you are in a higher cp range, no one will notice.

Yeah I know pc isn't so nice but after seeing so much ''exposed'' videos, and all the drama and rants from the console community I think its clear that xbox isn't any better.

If OP was the sole reason people bailed, you would think they would try a vote to kick. Anyway, in my experience pugging daily on PC since May, usually everyone in the group is pleasant enough. But, tbh, I stopped doing dungeons for like 2 years due to being matched with unpleasant people when my tank was less developed.

OP is level 35, so they were running normal.

If I am pugging a pledge and the players seem weak early on, I'll ask whether they plan to do hard mode. If they say 'no', I'm gone. If they are willing, even with their low DPS, I'll stick with them. I won't bail just because people are not good, but I will bail on a non-DLC pledge dungeon where they aren't willing to do hard mode. Fortunately, as a tank, it will be easy to find another group after the 15 minutes is over, and someone willing to do hard mode will get a tank.

I know. I was in a pug as DPS in normal dungeon a couple of days ago. I know my DPS is not the cream of the crop but at least I don't die like twice or three time per min. And it is not like we are spending hours on the initial mob.
But I got kicked when I was least expecting it. I was emotionally hurted on such a deep level that I resort to drinking for the rest of the day.
Why? Why?! WHY? Why will you kick me when the dungeon is already finished and the other 2 guys has already left. It is just you and me, how can you be so cruel to kick me at that moment?

Are you sure you were kicked? If lets say, we are in a 4 people group, 2 people leave the group and then its only you and me, if I leave the group myself, you are removed from the group since theres not a group anymore. And since you are not in a group, the dungeon removes you from the instance. So maybe the group simply disbanded, no ill will to you :)

I know that and the pop up said I was kick unanimously by group.

I had a similar experience moving to pc.

Had someone tell me they wouldn't do darkshade caverns 2 with a dps that was below 500 cp.

Its not that people are any meaner, its more that people just arent as good at the game and therefore aren't as confident in the groups ability to finish content. Which is fine.

Yeah, Darkshade 2 is one of those dungeons where a lower CP player is gonna die on the last boss if they dont' know what they are doing. I ran it last week with my DPS on a different account. We had 2 under 200 CP players (tank and DPS) and one higher level healer (over 600 CP). They all died countless times. The poison gas didn't even hurt me. The only pain I suffered was the number of soul gems I used trying to keep everyone up.

Too bad, tank is underprivileged in this game. Dd judge you all the time, yet zos is against public display dps meter.
