Accelerate - is it worth slotting for the increased crit damage?

I haven't had a chance to play with this Psijic skill, has anyone else? I was thinking of trying it out in PvP for the increased crit damage and also for the increased movement speed, but not sure it's worth a skill slot.

I run a magsorc if it matters

Everyone and their mothers are either stacking up impen or are sorcs with shields, which cannot be crited. Best to use the slot for something else if you have another source of major expedition.

Magsorc already has access to major expedition so it won't benefit much in that regard. As for the minor force I suppose it depends what your crit rate is. If anything I'd imagine it's something you'd slot on your overload bar.

The crit damage is really nice, impen or no--if you slot it on overload bar (and use the OL bar as a buff/utility bar) you could use the channeled morph with the long duration and it would give you a pleasant buff that lasts long enough for many open world fights.

The sprint-reduction morph is pretty fun too--and gives you a source of expedition that doesn't break stealth/invisibility, which is nice.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I can back-bar overload I think and move negate to my front bar. I was thinking you could hit mage light, with the accelerate buff and light attack with overload. That would probably hit pretty darn hard. I've been messing around with netch's touch for one of my 2 sets, so 400 extra spell damage on top of it all. And combined with Molag Kena's buff...the spell damage would be insane, and with overload you're not spending Magicka so no 20% magicka increase penalty. Pretty specific build around overload, was just spit-balling.

It's always amusing when I see these type of discussions... usually you hear people say something like, "small increase isn't worth it"... and yet other people are like, "must slot Rearming Trap for minor force!" I see this all the time with racial passives as well... some people see small % as HUGE and others see small percent as being not worth it.

I think a lot of that depends on the content those people are running and how seriously they are taking it.
