You don't have to grind the dungeon since the drops are tradable. You can just buy them from guild traders.

Got it after 3 runs, all with hm activated. I thought they would have some cool fire effect as well but, meh, nothing, just the regular mask...

Thanks for the clarification. I had assumed it's account-bound. Same for the shoulders?

39 keys to get my first page... 5 keys to get my 2nd shoulder page. Ran vcohI 8 times today.. a mix of hm and regular vet (since the announcement said you needed to have the achievement and not run hm)... either way nothing for no one in any of them.

With the comments and my own experience, the drop rate on the helmet style seems to be somewhere around 2-3% (per person, not run).

Worth knowing, you only need the Hard Mode achievement for the increased drop chance. So, if you've done it once, ever, on that character, there's no reason to run hard mode again for the mask.

Got shoulder on my 5th key.

4 runs (all HM) and nobody in the group got the helmet page.

No mask, no shoulder, just a stupid grind in an easy dungeon.
After wasting an entire evening, I am fed up doing it.

Why is everything that could be fun becoming such a grind?
So I just bought the shoulder from the guild trader.
For the mask, I will invest another evening..

Again, there is no reason to run it in HM. The drop rate is the same on vet and HM. I know HM is easy, but you're still wasting time.

5 keys to get the shoulders.

2 runs, no heads for the group. Will do 1-2 runs each day until I get it. Or get bored. Can’t see the point of grinding it massively. Most likely price will drop to a reasonable level in 2 weeks anyway.

I wasn’t aware that you only needed the HM achievement but it’s not that much different on non HM vs HM. I soloed it on HM a few times, grabbed a friend to make it quicker, after a few runs another friend join and bam they got the style page first run. Another run and no page, another friend joined and they get it first time. After 16 runs it was back to me and the first friend that joined and then my brother joined and he got it first run. Some weird RNG. We ran it around 18-19 times and no luck but ever who joined us seemed to get it the first run they joined?

It is nice that the double rate is unlocked by the achievement, not the repeated HM clear. Simplifies things and makes it at least a little less painful.

I've ran COH1 with a few friends yesterday. First try, buddy got one and after that did it 5 more times and nothing. Double dop rate for HM? Yea right.

We ran Ran COH1 HM 4 times and only one of us got a drop. That puts the drop rate, at least for us, as 1/16 or 6.25%. Low drop rate but HM is very easy.

Can someone please explain the logic of not being able to deposit this outfit page in my bank? It's tradable for crying out loud.

ZOS logic: Banker wont touch the thing, but I can mail it to a friend, have them RTS and pick it up on another toon. Seems silly.

Wait until its Scalecaller. I really hope they adjust the drop rate based on the length/difficulty of the dungeon. COH 1 can be run in less than 10 minutes, so running it a dozen times is really not that bad. Same is not true for DLCs and some of the other longer ones. I suppose its not as bad since you just need the achievement, and dont actually need HM every time, but people are gonna rage either way.

Yea, just wait until its something like vSCP or vFL. At least COH1 is so easy that we did Hard Mode, Speed Run and No Death all in one run, without even trying.

I just when I run some today, I get it. If the same dude gets I'll be angry. lol. If that dungeon is the case then I'll just buy it. If they say the drop rate is doubled then it needs to be double not having a drop rate of 1/30. That's a bit extreme.

I can see that being an issue. I would almost prefer them to lower the drop rate (or keep it the same cuz its already low), but when it drops, give it to the whole group. You know some poor soul is going to run this a 100 times and see 25 different people get one. Haha.

I think when it gets to a harder dungeon, I will make a pact with a good group to just keep grinding it until we get 4 as a group.

Is it possible that the RNG is depending on DPS?

As a tank, I am really fed up after two evenings,
running this dungeon dozens of times now without result,
knowing only about DPS friends getting the mask so far.
Any tank here who already got the mask?

So if I'm actually trying to get a specific shoulder piece from the Redbeard's chest, now my odds are even worse because yet another RNG option that I will never use is added to the mix?

Thanks for nothing, ZOS! Why not add a /declineoutfitstyle option for those of us who don't want to look like an Illambris and are just trying to get some Stormfist shoulders in medium?
