Maintenance for the week of March 3:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – March 3
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – March 4, 6:00AM EST (11:00 UTC) - 4:00PM EST (21:00 UTC)
• NA megaservers for maintenance – March 5, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 11:00AM EST (16:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – March 5, 9:00 UTC (4:00AM EST) - 16:00 UTC (11:00AM EST)

This is taking longer than a patch maintenance?

I'm not sure either if patch maintenances are too short or these regular maintenances are too long. It's been down for quite long now, makes one wonder.

Is this another attempt to fix an immersion-breaking movement of a left hand that belongs to a non-quest NPC in Stros M'kai @ZOS_GinaBruno ?

I'm pretty sure servers will be online right before 16:00 CEST. New CS limited time items... Money... That's maybe why they started the maintenance earlier as usual.

And I hope I'm right, it'd mean we can play soon by now.

You obviously need to experience more online games, there are plenty that don't go down every week for maintenance, some that literally have only been down a handful of times over years like Guild Wars 2.

Rumor has is that one of the hamsters working in the server has had a heart attack and is undergoing a heart transplant as we speak :disappointed: . Please pray for the little guy as his life is now teetering on the edge *soo sad*!

Little squeakys family has asked that you give them some time and space to deal with this tragic event. In the meantime you can contact ZOS if you would like to donate to little squeakys family!!

Actually, I have experienced plenty of online games, thanks :)

Not GW 2 because that never appealed to me, however WoW, Everquest II, FF XI, FF XIV have had plenty of long maintenence periods during their life spans. - for example, only the other week FF XIV had a massive EU server outage due to problems at the data centre. I think people just have no patience.

I think most people are just used to the notion that in 2018 online services generally run without the need to be taken offline for maintenance (bar some major update), even services that are free and are aware that there are games, even the odd MMORPG that do that same thing, so get irritated that some games are still stuck in the year 2000. (But then I guess that is one of the reasons the games industry has the reputation it does...)

Wait, so they simply locked the other thread and still didn't even acknowledge there was a maintenance, let alone telling us what was it for? Well, LOL.

Entertainingly, the one game you mentioned you have no experience with is literally the only MMO I know of that never goes down for maintenance. The GW2 team did that stuff so right! Upgraded servers? Eh, no downtime.

It only ever goes out if literally everything is on fire, or something like that.
