Wailing Prison and Escape (rp wise)

So I'm curious rp wise there is a revolt in the wailing prison when you first escape your cell. Do you think that other thralls or "soul shriven" escaped other then the profit and vestage.
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

    Doubtful.

You get out of the anchor mooring room via the Prophet's spell--other soul shriven might get to that point, but unless there's another secretly uberpowerful mage hanging out, they aren't getting to Nirn proper.

Assumedly when all the NPCs you slaughtered respawn, the little riot is quelled.

what of Cadwell doesn't he try to free soul shriven through out the game or talk about it when you meet up with him again?

as far as I'm concerned, yes - that's where all the other ESO players come from - we were all scooped up in necromantic rituals, we all got our souls stolen to oblivion, we all escaped during the mighty (and still ongoing, I might add) prison break in coldharbour (in my mind, time is stretchy in oblivion), and we all got dumped back onto nirn with our soul scattered across the land, going about our heroic business with a secret bond that unites us all

except for all the people that RP that they completely skipped that bit

and all the people that created characters after the intro story changed

and all the people that don't give a hairy rat's behind about rp

    and so on

If you look to your right immediately after Lyris gets you out, you see a group of other prisoners holding the door while you escape. I always took this to suggest that the prison revolt/mass escape was orchestrated as a distraction, to provide cover for Lyris' attempt to free the Prophet. Those other prisoners gave their lives to get the Prophet out. Maybe some few of them managed to escape in the end, but I suspect most gave their lives for the sake of Lyris' plan.

Writing about this makes me nostalgic. That intro quest is so much better than the Morrowind/Summerset tutorials, and one of the most epic intro quests in the whole TES series.

One of the named prisoner (an argonian I think) actually appear in ES:Legends if I recall correctly. He is probably the only named other than you the player and Cadwell.

Not that I play ES:Legends or anything, but it is an interesting touch

I agree they should never have taken away this starting quest it takes away from the game imo. I would have much rather kept the starting wailing prison area and then had quest to start the intro scene to Morrowind and then another to start the intro scene to summerset.

Er-Jaseen! He used to play a bigger role in breaking you out, in an earlier version of the quest. He'll always be a hero to me.
