Should be roughly 8% difference between the two. It scales up or down based on your current penetration and the resistances of the target. So it should be essentially:
(penetration gained/lost) / (50000 - 18200 + current penetration)
This would give you:
-4000/(50000-18200+18000) = -0.0803
Which would be interpreted as an 8% loss. I got this formula from @SodanTok , my testing on the xbox yielded damage results in agreement with that formula.
