Console crashes over? Well now we have a more annoying issue in Cyrodill

Okay well done to ZoS for finally fixing the console crashes...I can actually say I haven't crashed once since maintenance a few days ago.

BUT now the game's been plagued by an even more annoying issue happening more frequently since maintenance...skills and potions literally just freezing. Animations going off yet the actual skill not registering.

Now some of you are referring to this as the 'spring bug,' however, I didn't even press sprint during this whole phase of combat. My skills just decided to freeze, and randomly unfreeze again. Then you'll notice at 0.22 seconds of the video I CLEARLY use rally, the animation going off...But the skill did not even register!!!!!!!! How is that even possible??

Then I asked my alliance in zone chat if they're experiencing similar problems with skills, and I got so many responses saying the same thing.

What the hell is going on with the game right now? If it's not one problem, it's another game-breaking bug that just ruins gameplay experience. I would've posted this in the bugs section stickied a few days ago but ZoS either took that thread down or placed it in some inconspicuous area of the forums thinking all the issues and complains would just pass over.

Anyways, let me know if any of you console/pc players are having this issue as well. Lets hope this can be addressed asap as well.

Oh also just want to add, notice how I'm still losing stamina as if my skills are registering, and my stamina recovery is not even going up...

As I said, I know this may be referred to as the 'sprint bug' but now I've noticed its happening without me even pressing sprint. This bug has been around since Summerset I realise, but I feel like its become exacerbated by the last maintenance we had for some reason.

I'm on Xbox and never seen this. Not heard any ody else mention it either so it may be a PS4 only thing.

You haven't at least faced the typical sprint bug in Xbox before? Pretty sure thats widespread reported. I've seen Fengrush rage over it too before and he's PC.

If we hit a full update cycle with broken pvp i will quit this game cyrodiil has been unplayable since june 5th. At that point is more than obvious that zos cant get their <insert word> together but is still willing to sell us more product without fixing the current one.

Same here the fix did very little. Still have these looooong load screens. Right now i cant get pass the screen with the high elf chic and the khajit when starting up game. Restarted app several times. While in game it seems to take a long time to do anything. Sending a message to someone takes 5 minutes for the keyboard to appear and you cant do anything but wait. Collecting mail, deposited items in bank its all lag. Audio is all mesded up. Sometimes in a battle the npc doesnt appear, but they can see you. Its like the same issues i had before update im still having now. Had two hard resets the day of the patch but no hard reset of ps4 since. I have no idea whata going on. Since summerset it has been extremely hard to enjoy, so frustrating.

This happens to me all the time. The character does his part of the animation but the rest doesn’t happen.

It’s just lag. Not related at all to sprint big.

That sounds about right, you now just have the issues PC usrs are frequently getting, so ..progress?

I'm not lagging though. I know when it's lagging cause stuff moves around like a slide show, but this is different.

Unless you mean the servers lagging and it's not clientside.

I was running vet Spindleclutch solo for jewelry. There was a good 5 second delay before a ability would fire off, if it did at all. Sometimes magicka cost would be taken from my resources without the ability going off. Liquid Lightning was the main ability not working. AoE circle would be placed, magicka cost taken, but no AoE effect.
Died twice to the ability lag, because my shield wasn't going up when I pressed it.
Annoying and frustrating.

Seems like the heavy attack bug, after a heavy attack animation cancel to an ability the game seems to que abilities and on our uiwe see nothing until either they all fire off at once, or in your case they timeout...I’m on Xbox and this does happen frequently in PvP

yea welcome to pcs issues now it shouldnt take long for them to fix them though. their not that bad of a problem just happen every once in a blue moon

yea welcome to pcs issues now it shouldnt take long for them to fix them though. their not that bad of a problem just happen every once in a blue moon

Once in a blue moon? I get this about five times an hour in cyrodill and that's not me exaggerating

I've seen this a few times.

My framerate dips and crashes have been more frequent since the "fix," too. PS4, NA.

Seems similar to what we had tonight in vet AA on Xbox EU. Skills not being registered by the servers, some sort of desync that effected the whole group. Ultimates that didn't do damage, random resource drains, healing abilities that didn't heal, taunting abilities that didn't taunt, dps abilities that didn't do damage, pets being invisible.

Have seen it multiple times on both Xbox servers in pvp and pve (dungeons, trials and dummies). Reload ui, force closing the game and resetting the Xbox none did work.

And sometimes pots give you only 2k instead of 6k or 7k.

This is exactly what Im talking about. It's so much more frequent since the maintenance too I dont understand why.

We need people putting as much feedback of their experiences so they get this stuff sorted because who cares about the crash fix if there are still this many bugs ruining gameplay experience

I've had that for weeks now.. on PCNA

Its not lag its like the server seems to dsync from you.. you can still chat and do basic functions but skills don't work etc..

You can get some periods of good game play, but after huge lag spikes it remains utter garbage until you re-log and reset everything. It appears as suggested above that the server itself seems to dsync from you which just destroys the performance.

Yep exactly and I don't feel it's exclusively related to sprint bug anymore. I was definitely not lagging either as someone mentioned before.

I don't think that ZoS had acknowledged this issue yet so just bringing the problem to light so they can sort it out.

Yeah, the server is lagging.

Not talking about FPS issues. Just server latency, due to congestion at the router or possibly even server processing lag.

I don't use poisons, but this is interesting. I wonder if there's something else I have slotted that could be affecting it.

Getting lag and disconnects that I had pre Summerset. Seeing the sprint bug more than pre Summerset. The only skill freezes I'm getting are due to stuns not registering because of lag on PS4 NA.
