...Speed variables for each piece of armor worn. For instance:

-1 each piece of Hvy. (includes shields and metal 2H weapons)
0 each piece of medium.
+1 each piece of light.

It makes no sense someone in Heavy Armor to be moving the same speed as those in light and medium. (Maybe even expand the Night Silence crafted set 5 piece bonus ability to nullify weight class modifiers for speed.)

Tho i don't play a tank i do try and stay behind them in dungeons and let them pull, even when i know the room is just trash mobs i could solo aoe down. Making Tanks slower will just make every thing more slower than it is or have every one rush ahead why the slow tank catches up.

    A. Medium Armor users get the sprint bonus, because their legs aren't all tangled up in their robes.

    B. I'm not sure why you think that heavy armor users should be slow. Plate armor doesn't skimp on protection, but people had to be able to move well in it.

Heavy should be slowest, but LA should not be the fastest... for this reason: LA users theoretically would spend most of their time reading/studying as a magic user. MA on the other hand, is incredibly light IRL, and the wearers are generally going to be in peak physical shape.

That’s if we’re talking stereotypical realism.

They shouldn’t be slow. But they shouldn’t be fast either. The game is prettt much how it should be Atm.

That's fantastic, but there's still no question, as seen in that video, those wearing heavy armor are not as agile and fast as someone of the same physical prowess wearing light or medium armor.

Terrible argument. Actually no real argument. Games are generally more fun when things make sense in certain ways. If we didn’t worry about things, and “just had fun”, then why have a forum? Why have balance discussions at all? Why not just not worry about any of it, after all it’s just a game?

    No.

I'm not sprinting on my tank and wasting stamina to keep up with everyone else, just to satisfy your ridiculous need for realism in a fantasy game.

This sounds like someone who looked like they were in full heavy armor was chasing you down and keeping up the pressure and now you’d like them “nerfed”

With the current outfit system there’s no way to know what people are actually wearing and even if we got a speed debuff I have like 3 skills on my 2h Templar that keep up the pressure and he’s only lvl 23.

When it comes to magick I’m afraid even a submarine of a character is as light as a feather.

Nah. That's not it. I realize it's easy to picture some keyboard warrior scraping himself off of the floor in Cyrodiil and running straight to the forums, but that's not it. It's one of those things I've thought should be since the earliest days of me playing ESO years ago. And now I've 9 Level 50 characters with a variety of build. Some would benefit from this and some would not. I like idea of it and The tactical variances it would bring. The thought that would have to go into builds making speed a consideration and the effects it would have on every aspect of PvP. I also think the game would have more of an "Elder Scrolls" feel to it since weight and encumbrance was always "a thing" for TES games.

    *edited spelling. oops.

Why would light armor give a speed bonus?- You are most likely the fastest if you run in your underwear. Every piece of armor should lead to less speed, not more. Same goes for stealth things - ok, medium has already a passive for that, but it is not reasonable this way as well. Hm, most of the combat system and boni/mali are not very reasonable, when I think about it.

And heavy armor should rust and users should sink to the bottom of the water.

And light armor robes should flow in the wind and get caught on trees and bushes.

And leather medium armor should get tighter in the sun and restrict the users dexterity.

I'm not sure why you think that heavy armor users should be slow. Plate armor doesn't skimp on protection, but people had to be able to move well in it.
The thing with plate armor is not that it makes you run slow.
Its that it makes you exhaust quicker because its -heavy-!
And behold, without the boni from medium armor, heavy armor does not sprint so well... ;)

As for light armor... that is worn by those nerdy spellcasters who only ever walk from one bookshelf to the next. No wonder they can't sprint! Give 'em a wedgie and dunk their heads into the chamber pot! :p;)

    ...

Now, where things -would- get more interesting was in water!

What would be reasonable to add were swimming penalties for armor.

For example, increase the base swimming speed by 50%, but then reduce the new swimming speed for each piece of armor worn... say, 4% per piece of light armor, 8% per piece of medium armor, and 16% per piece of heavy armor. And yes, that would mean you -cannot- swim in full plate. At all.

And then... more swimming. Levels where it actually is so much of an thing that people will seriously consider taking off their armor for the extra speed (or any speed)... and then get attacked just as they reach the shore... for an artificually tough fight...

Account-wide Achievements (excluding Titles and PvP ranks)

Double the Housing Furnishing item limit
Increase the Housing Furnishing 'special item' category to 50 or so (instead of 10 or whatever it currently is)

Allow the re-arrangement/order of Characters in the Character-Selection screen. A simple Drag up/down slider button would suffice.

Make a PvPvE Trial at the Dark Anchor/Dolmen at Cloudruler Temple inside Cyrodiil, near Bruma.
Or, you know, do something special with this iconic area...

Remove the storage limit of Transmute Crystals.

Put CP 1-160 players in the under-50 BG queue, not the CP 160+ (gear-cap) BG queue.

Make crafted item signatures show up as @accountnames instead of character names (e.g. identical potions/food could then correctly stack, and whatever other possibilities this change may bring).

Increase the monthly allotment of crowns in ESO+ membership in proportion to the amount that ZOS raised the price of crowns to, way back when. (E.g. Months/Years ago, goods in the ESO crown store costed less, and crowns themselves costed less money to buy. Now, today, goods in the crowns cost more crowns, and there are many more varied crown store goods to choose from, and crowns cost more money to buy. So, we, the player/consumer, lose in all aspects.)

And that's all I can think of for now. Time for bed. :)
