PC player wondering if you group on Console are you automatically in a voice channel together?

As strange as it may seem after playing ESO all this time all I know about voice coms on Console is (1) lots of bugs (2) zone chat don't go there
And also people play music in public channels all the time. Seems like one weird way that consoles would actually have a leg up on PC is auto-add to voice channels when Grouped.

✭✭✭1.) Yes, upon forming a group on console, we're automatically placed in a dedicated chat channel.
2.) Can't comment on Area voice chat. I turned it off two years ago to avoid the crappy music, toxic chatter, and bots advertising the 'buy gold/gear' web sites
