Am I going too fast in my rotation? Experiencing glitches

I'm on console PS4, but ever since I tried weaving more LA into my rotation I seem to get more random glitches. So I'll LA, skill, swap, LA, skill, then swap, but my LA will sometimes turn into a HA after I swap and try to LA. Another thing I have noticed is that some of my DoTs won't cast despite pressing that slotted skill sometimes two or three times, my character will just stand there. I'm wondering if maybe I'm attacking too fast on my controller and the animations are causing my glitches??? Any tips or suggestions are welcomed!

No, I don't believe I have tried anything less than a full depress on R2 for my LA, but that's a good suggestion. Definitely worth a shot.

I guess slowing down my rotation is the only solution to avoiding the glitch. I notice once I speed up my character's rotation it seems to have a delay followed by those skipped skill problems I'm having.

Thats probably the problem. I remember way back when i first started learning rotations tat the same thing would happen. Try not to depress it fully. Also its about knowing when to press the light attack after the last skill you used. So like half way into the liquid lightning animation press r2 quickly then press wall of elements, or whatever the two skills are.

There is a global cooldown for all skills. You can only cast 1 skill/sec. Between skills you can cast light attack and block or bash.

I'm a PC player but just from looking at the layout, have you tried not fully depressing R2 and just giving it a half or quarter press?

No, I don't believe I have tried anything less than a full depress on R2 for my LA, but that's a good suggestion. Definitely worth a shot.

I have a high ping and for some reason, quick rotation can be an issue as if you go too quick some la or skills dont register

I'm having my skills go into cooldown and use magicka but not even firing off.. Its usually the third skill along..


Drives me nuts. Also high ping here.

After another dps test, not fully depressing r2 made a huge difference. Thanks everyone.
