Midyear Mayhem Event: Delayed or Canceled?

So I assume if you looked at the Crown Store Showcase – July 2018 there was an outfit called Star-Made Wolfshead coming from 19 July to 23 July at 3pm BST (or 10am EDT). Now ZOS has changed the dates for that costume as 26 July to 30 July. If you look at the Announcements or Crown Store in-game there is a dye stamp called Holiday: Grill Chef's Condiments for 11 Days including two different colors: Star-Made Gold and Elven Gore Red. Which is clear that both of those crown store items are specific to Midyear Mayhem Event and 30 July is the last day for both of those items.

I wonder if the end date is 30 July is that mean that Midyear Mayhem is delayed? Or just like rumors is it canceled? ZOS didn't make any announcements yet but we are still waiting for an answer.

Seems to be delayed due to issues with Cyrodiil.

@Turelus If it's starting from 26th to 30th I don't think 4 days would be enough for a seasonal event.

Goddamit... Looks like this is going to be on just as I'm getting married & going on honeymoon! Wonder if the future Mrs Flaminir will have any objections to me sitting in the hotel and getting a few achievments sorted while we're away?

When I went on honeymoon it was the start of a 9 month break from ESO. Enjoy your honeymoon, ESO will be here when you get back !

Outfits and other crown store items don't necessarily match events. I think the event was about two weeks or so (may week and half). There is an xbox achievement called Midyear Maniac ending August 6, 2018. If the event starts the 26th and goes til the 6th, that's the same amount of time.

I hope it is cancelled. I d not want to complete new stupid achievements. I've done all of them with my main last year and felt satisfied. No more of this stupid PvP event. But no, this year I'm forced to mess with it again. ZOS, leave events alone, do not "improve" them please. Same goes to Witch event with dremora skulls. Stop trying to make it fun.

If you don't want to you can always stay out of the events while others may enjoy.

Because that is the Sharks vacation time from ZOS, they will be back working the Crown Store once Shark Week is over....

I hope it starts after 01AUG. I have work about to go crazy for 10-14 days. July events are super hard for me, with the need to be available for work 24/7 for haul out. And I don't want to miss this event.

Has there been any consideration to add double AP events OUTSIDE of the Midyear Mayhem event? Double anything is an awesome incentive to breath life into old content I mean, look at how active and lively IC is during double Tel Var week.

But these events are so scarce, literally once a year. Maybe if they were more seasonal not only would the content they offer see more action throughout the year, but there wouldn't be such a huge concentration / server strain on any one event since they would be more spread out.

I've been looking forward to Midyear Mayhem for a while since it was the reason I got into PVP for the first time last year. I think it is a good event for that. But I think having double AP more times throughout the year would be better for everyone.

Maybe if you want to keep Midyear Mayhem as it is, you could also maybe add separate events / promotions throughout the year just for Battlegrounds. Maybe after each time you guys release a new Battleground map, turn on double AP / drops for Battlegrounds.

I don't know about the feasibility of any of these ideas I'm just throwing out some suggestions.
