My simple (and desperate) pleas for housing!

Apollosipod
Housing Assets
-Daily Crafting Writ boards
-Option to designate homes as Guild Halls
-Wayshrines we can purchase for homes (Or Wayshrines that look like Daedric portals, Psijic Splash tubes, Oblivion Gates, etc)
-Option to place our characters in housing as decorations when they aren't being played -Weapon & armor racks to display (the art in this game is amazing!)
-Werewolf & vampire shrines as functional items (when purchased after maxing the skill line) so we can turn our friends

Housing NPCs:
-Bards (just to sing and add life to our homes), Guards (No function needed! They can just stand at attention as decorations!) and Merchants (basic crafting merchants, stable masters, basic furnishing merchants that sell the carved rocks and plants, & pack merchants), hirelings at your home just to give them a physical form! It would be a great achievement furnishing for maxing a crafting skill to be able to give your hirelings a home base! Even if those were only allowed in certain size homes that would be awesome.
-Personalities for mounts (like non-combat pets) when used for decorating

Outfit Station Options:
-Cosmetic backpacks/satchels to add to our outfits. Much like the Treasure Hunter costume, I'd love to be able to add backpacks or ropesnto my character. Adventuring takes equipment!

@ZOS_PhilipDraven, @ZOS_GinaBruno Its incredible to be able to see all characters at once, to compare their height for example, to locate them on the house territory like they work, speak or eat together.
When u coming with one of the characters he can come inside at the place where he was located in house (if was) instead entrance - this thing, when someone see when your character like open his eyes could be very inspiring.
Can we have this in the future?

Great ideas! Several I've seen mentioned before, which just shows how many housing enthusiasts would like to see certain things.

For me, one of the most important are the crafting writ boards. These can be an achievement reward for completing x crafting writs that cost y vouchers, as an example. Or you could have a writ courier NPC.

I'd also like for the banker and merchant to have the same function in houses as regular banker and merchant NPCs. They can keep their limited functionality while summoned, but in a home, it'd be great if they could have the expanded functionality.

Agreed on having all your characters available as NPCs in your home, where you could access their inventory.

There was actually a house model in skyrim that had this. It Also had the ability to switch characters this way.

@ZOS_PhilipDraven Also, most important things like Mundus stones should be available for gold alternatively with for crowns.
With very high price like idk few millions each.
Alsmost everyone who aggree to buy it for crowns will buy it for crowns anyway because it's too much time to accumulate so much money for that.
In such way things will have much more respectability and value even when bought with crowns.

Same thing actually if to talk about crown-only houses or motifs. They feels comercial and empty because u're simply customer here.

P.s: Also, cool step in right direction was Hakkvild's High Hall, which require to get Bloodrood Forge and Falkreath achievents to be able buy it for gold.

The main issue that seems to be shared by these requests across all posts asking for house improvements is:

"Housing is not engaging/worthwhile on it's own and therefore needs more interactive content".

I don't know what the capabilities of the developers are to fulfill our requests, but I do hope they are seeing the main ideas of what is bothering people and doing something about it (Even if they're being sneaky-silent about it, that's ok. We'll patiently wait for awesomeness).

    These are all great ideas.
    • Crafting Writ Boards
    • Fully Equipped Service NPC's
    • Guild House Designations
    • Intractable Armor Stands
    • Inactive Characters Display
    • Wayshrines/Portals

I would also like to add:
    • Gardening Plots - You have to tend to it a certain amount of days in a row to collect a reasonable, yet non-game breaking reward (i.e Frost Miriam Patch, yields 3 Frost Miriam if tended to for 3 days in a row).
    • Board Game Interfaces - Cards, Chess, Checkers, etc.
    • Housing Quest Boards - Like daily writs, but instead of crafting something you have to find something that gives you a reward if completed before the board resets to the next day quest. (i.e. Gather materials needed to build a purple furnishing item, if you do, you get that item as bind on equip. You don't know what the item is until you turn in the mats for it.)

    My personal main requests are:
    • Please make it stop raining and snowing under covered structures. - Why I'm I getting wet under a solid roof? It ruins immersion for Roleplayers.
    • Multiple Home Access, Simultaneously - Let us select in options which of our owned houses can be visited instead of just primary. We spend a lot of money, time and effort in building these houses. Why do we need to discard or neglect one for the next?

I see these as possible additions that would enrich the housing experience, but have to admit I already love housing despite the extra features we would like. I know we can't get everything we want, just give us SOMETHING to appease the anxious masses.

    Thank you ^_^

One of the most significant and helpful quality of life additions would be a storage bag for housing items similar to what we have for crafting.

At present, with over 4000 items, 700 in my main / guild house, and the rest in a combination of other houses used purely for storage of items in order to free up space in character bags and bank slots, it's really challenging to manage what I want to put and where.

@ZOS_GinaBruno A Cyrodiil Castle would be nice too ;-)
