I've had this same behavior before as well.

It has nothing to do with mine or the OP's router or internet connections.

My same router handled the 6 hour siege at BRK for Meth's emp defense. Ever since Summerset it's been worse than ever. The 4.0 patch was the worst, performance wise, in Cyrodiil since the lighting patch of 1.2, with only that patch still surpassing it for awfulness.

Skill delays are worse overall, I've disconnected more than I ever have before (almost all desyncs like the OP's video), and at this point the ability to break free from CC is near non existent as the duration is shorter than the time it takes to register.

Never mind other major problems like:
    • Invisible postern walls that can be clipped through
    • Roots (usually encase) that will not drop off you if you dodge roll or rapids spam while negated.
    • Weapon bar swap delays.
    • Skill usage delays.
    • Skills that go off, cost you resources, and then have no effect. Dark Deal does this a lot on my sorc.
    • Having damage and effects occur before any graphical indicator that a hit is incoming or has happened.
    • Meteor yoyoing and rubber banding
    • Get such bad positional update delays (as in, where everything is positioned) you can't light attack with melee because the client doesn't know where an NPC is, let alone a player.
    • And so much more.

Half the garbage we keep seeing about requested balance changes and anti-ball group changes that you see on this forum would be moot if they could fix the client and connectivity garbage that destroys any notion that Cyrodiil is a fun environment.

That pretty much sums up my pvp experience. It literally makes no sense when you are DCed from the game or start to lag. It appears randomly, but definite when the servers are locked or 3 bar+. Even fighting one person or doing PvE when the servers are "congested" causes extreme lag and buggy behavior. Cutting the amount of players or moving them around appears to have solved nothing! In fact, I swear the lag is worse than I ever remember it to be...

"Okay, PvP sucks right now...I'll just go to PvE and tank." Nope! Boss skipping around, mobs attacking when dead, no drops from boss kill, skills not working, block not working, rolling and dodge not working, damage not calculating...And of course, this always only happens when its also laggy in PvP. I've used 6 different connections (different ISPs) + different hardware, adapters, and PCs, to see if it was a client problem and the result is the same: it runs awful and just as bad.

In the same time frame, every other online game or service I use runs just as well as it does at any other time, and the difference between the connections can be seen. Once I get DCed twice, I just play another game...If its not the "off-hours" then I know for certain its only a matter of time before I get the boot.

    @Biro123 I beg to differ!

Unfortunately, the other side of the map isn't better. (In case somebody wanted to recommend spreading out).

When you zoom in your ping and it's at ~180 and you complain, I grind. Now imagine live half way around the world from the server. 180 is my dream. We consider it's a good day if it's stable at 260-300.

The problem is that the ping reported by the API is effectively wrong.

Usually my ping doesn't read over 200 in these massive fights, yet I will press a button to fire a skill repeatedly for 5+ seconds and nothing actually happens. Ping happily siting at 150ms like a complete fraud that it is.

I've tried entering Cyrodiil twice since summerset launched. Both times I approached a lit keep and lagged out of the server before I even saw any enemies. This patch is complete garbage for PvP performance. My internet connection is fine.

This. Which to me makes it look like the problems are all internal to Zenimnax.. Either their intranet not handling the traffic, or their game servers being overloaded.

"Hi, IM STACKING WITH 200 more players at the same spot and complain about the lag at the same time"
Dog, ure from the oness who increase the lag. Cant blame ya tho, each player with his own "enjoyment". ZOS will never fix it.

The pathetic game performance in Cyrodiil has been going on for a long time. It is a major issue that ZOS has time and time again told players they are working on this or working on that but have done absolutely nothing. I see no change in the future. If anything it will just get worse.
