rending slashes bleed with and without masters DW

I don't have masters DW but I wanna see if I can get an answer on just how much stronger it makes the bleed.

So currently, bleeds are super strong because they aren't affected by resistances right? Does that make the masters DW +1500 per tick also not affected by resistances?

So let's say rending slashes hits for 800 per tick usually without masters DW. Does having masters DW suddenly make that 800 per tick go to 2300 per tick (800 + 1500)?

I'd love to hear the math on this:)

1500 is affected by battle spirit. So you get half that.

okay so essentially you get +750, and that 750 is unmitigated by resistances.

So an 800 tick turns into 1550, correct?

Bleeds aren't affected by resistances, but they are still mitigated by %-based damage reductions (maj/min protection, Nord passive, defensive CPs, etc).

The 1500 damage behaves just like the base damage from an ability.

It first gets cut in half by battlespirit. It then gets amplified by your % damage modifers (stacked addtively). Lastly, it gets mitigated by your target's % mitigation (stacked multiplicatively). It also benefits from crit modifers.

Do note that this additional damage isn't a separate damage instance. It gets added into the original damage tick.

As a ballpark figure, Master's DW adds about 70-80% DPS to my rending.

Right now its a bit funky. Sometimes the damage gets increased by Master DW set bonus, sometimes it doesn’t. I feel it has something to do with swapping weapons too fast but i’m not sure.

I was curious about this too. As a stam setup you always have a VMA bow back bar. If we could front bar some master weapons, we would be able to have 2 x 5 piece sets available on both bars - cutting out monster set is hard without a 1 piece bonus. ZOS bring em back.
