I have a question about damage..

I am signing up for a veteran trial and they say requirement is minimum 30k damage.
Does that mean each strike should take off 30k? or at least a total of 30k after you use up all your stamina?

I know for me.. my snipe skill on bow takes off 30k per hit.

That's 30k Damage per second, usually on a 3 million or 6 million health test dummy.

Basically, you should have a rotation of damage skills, both damage over time and single target, that together do 30k DPS over a sustained period of time.

It means that your average DPS - damage per second - is expected to be 30K.

You have target dummies with 3M and 6M - the most common ones. This means you need to be able to kill one without raid buffs (usually orbs & Major Fracture / Breach provided) from full health to 0 in 100 seconds or less for a 3M dummy or 200 seconds or less for a 6M dummy.

How much each one of your hit hits for is entirely irrelevant, since damage dealing builds rely on damage over time effects hitting multiples times per ability cast for low amounts.

In the fight against Molarg Ball you do insane damage. Remember single hit to kill all normal mobs and had multiple hundred k as dps. Yes it would be kind of boring as in making vet dungeon as easy as overland.

However against large groups of enemies you can do insane dps with aoe, skyreach is best for this.
