So I upgraded two rings to gold this morning...

I had 15 chromium platings, 8 to upgrade one and risked the other with 7 and was successful. My question, however, is that do I not get some sort of new achievement or dye? I didn't notice anything. Anyone know what it's called, or am I mistaken?

pretty sure you are required to upgrade an accessory from white to yellow to get that achievement

check the crafting achievements for jewelrycrafting it will be listed as "Legendary Jewelry Crafter" if there is an objective still greyed out, that is what has to be done

You need to upgrade from white. The achievement requires you to upgrade to green and blue and purple and gold. Maybe these are cumulative so once you do green/blue/purple it will register, but I haven't tried that yet.

Nice, so now I need to upgrade some random lower jewelry for the achievement. These were spriggan rings and they were already purple.

The Legendary Jewelry Crafter achievement is cleared when you upgrade any piece(s) of jewelry to each grade quality (green, blue, purple, gold).

Upgrading two pieces from purple to gold does not meet the requirements.

As I recall, they are. The only achievement that requires you to upgrade a specific piece from white to gold is Truly Legendary, which requires you to slot a gold glyph into a gold item you crafted. I'll mess around on the PTS for a few minutes and report back to confirm, though.

EDIT: Or, I won't, because I'm afflicted by Error 103. RIP.

Divine gold dye is worth it. Best gold dye in the game atm.

If anyone can confirm if this all has to be on a specific piece of jewelry or random upgrades across many, report back here.

I'd argue that Transliminal Violet is better, but, One: That is just down to aesthetic taste, and Two: Both are really nice dyes.

you cant try updating some crafted jewellery of a set you use to green blue and purple? maybe it just needs to you uprade anything from one stage to the other, rather than ONE pieve to all the upgrades

Reading the achievement, it says Improve Jewelry Crafting items to all available qualities, and there is a checklist for each quality.

OP, can you look at your achievement and see if the "Improve to Legendary" is checked?

If that's the case, you can just improve any other item(s) to purple. You can even just make a blue ring you need purple and then upgrade something random to blue.

Achievement is taking a white ring and upgrading through all the colours

Doesn't have to be the same ring

I'm assuming purple to gold is what you did so just do rest now
