Spellweaver Lightning staff?

Hi,

I'm a dragonknight working on being a DPS. Right now I have equipped Juliano's and Mother's Sorrow as my gear, all made legendary at this point. Someone said it's probably better to change Mother's Sorrow for Spellweaver, including the lightning staff. Over weeks now I've consistently done the activity finder for Ash I and II, and while I've gotten a ton of Spellweaver gear, I still haven't gotten a lightning staff or even seen it mentioned anywhere.

I'm just curious if it actually exists or if I'm chasing a ghost. And, if it tends to drop it specific locations. (If someone thinks another set might be better for DPS, please let me know.)

BSW staves are notoriously difficult to obtain. They'll appear on CoA1 and 2, either from chests or the final bosses. There's a unique restoration staff that drops off Warden of the Shrine in CoA1, but there's no unique destro staves in the set that I'm aware of.

EDIT: They also have a hilariously low drop rate off any non-boss mob in the dungeon.

I got the lightning staff more than any of the other weapons throughout my farming there, one week before my inferno finally dropped was especially aggravating...

Don't use a lightning stave on a magDK though, you'll want the inferno

I think weapons only drop from the last boss consistently, but they do have a rare chance to drop from random mobs and chests (these two have the full drop table as far as I know, so are very diluted). Best thing to do would be to run normal COA1 as it's quick and easy, doing it with friends who don't need the staff could get you a free trade if it drops for them.
