Eventually, the people who are obsessively farming them will stop. Then they will be easier to find. It might take a new chapter to get this to happen, though.
Edit: At one time, you could not count the players in Dwarven ruins because of the crafting loot in the containers there. Now, no one cares because they have moved on to other things. Like, clams.Edited by Elsonso on July 14, 2018 1:12PM -

✭✭✭✭✭They're not that rare actually, but can be hard to spot (some are even submerged underwater).
Once you know all the spawn locations (HarvestMap addon helps here) they become quite easy to farm.
It will help after the next DLC, when they start to glow for people who have the proper crafting passive.
