This isn't specific to ESO, a lot of people are just Meta chasers without thinking. Regardless how good you play many just want the composition the elite guild use. I see that in other games as well (just try to find a static in FF14 as a SAM for example ...).
I generally stay away from these types of people. SOME of them are slightly less rude than others and can give good advice, But they are few and far between.
@Somber97866 what console/server do you play on? If PS4 NA, I have a small guild that runs trials twice a week (Weds normal/Friday vet around 8 PM Central) and we would LOVE to have you (or anyone else here!) join us! We are a small guild, But most of our members are genuinely nice people and want to help each other and enjoy the game. Our trials team is small and we want to expand it so we can get more done. We arent a “trials guild” but we are slowly working our way through the vet trials and we get better every time! All we ask is that you hit a minimum of 30k DPS unassisted on a 6mil test dummy. Class doesnt usually matter, But we ask that its a viable race/class/role combo. If anyone is interested, LMK your PSN and I will invite you ASAP!

"Elitist" is a word people use to make themselves feel better about not putting in the time or effort to not be a burden on the group.
You mean having a real life?
LOL this old chestnut.
It is actually possible to have a job, family, social life etc etc and still be good at the game. It doesn’t take up to much of anybodies time to learn how to play efficiently.
