If they're being morons, you have the right to call them out. By using the dungeon finder, they agree to respect the 4th player. If they want to play any way they like, then they need to find a 4th friend (might be hard for folks like them though).
This is only a problem of course if they're unable to complete the content. If they're actually competent, then it doesn't matter what they queue as.
People definitely need thicker skin on the internet though. Be ready to insult people back when they get toxic. A bully will only bully you more if you're a pushover.
Sure you have the right to call them out. But you should also accept whatever consequences that come your way from doing so.
And i agree if they cannot complete the content then there is a problem. I have a 2 vote kick rule that I like to follow in dungeons. If I vote to kick a player and it fails, I'll give it one more try. If I vote to kick a player a second time and that fails I leave the group. Was with a group in vet FG2 the other day and the other DPs was trying to dps down the shades by only spamming steel tornado and refusing to do anything else. Wasn't going to happen and the group would approve the vote kick so I left and they probably never finished that dungeon. But I didn't confront the guy or tell him he was wrong or tell the group they were trash.
I have also never reported someone in this game (outside of bots). Why? Because who cares. I am an adult and I tend to not do things that would flame other players. There is zero need to confront anyone in this game or escalate any situation in this game.
I disagree with what you say. I didn't call them out, I did not post names or anything. Also if you ignore toxicity the game will be more toxic in the future.
In the OP you said "I told them that they shouldn't queue for a role they are not building for because that isn't how the group system works." That is calling them out. You told them they were doing something wrong. You didn't need to do this. You could have just left.
See, if they are a fake tank and my healer is consistently getting boss aggro when I'm clearly not taunting, I will usually say something like "Tank, would you like to use a taunt?"
I main a tank. I know when someone is running a fake tank.
On a nornal dungeon, I'll bear with it because my healer can tank the boss in place and still heal as long as the other DDs aren't stupid squishy. But I'm not going to let the fake tank pretend that they are adequate as a tank when they are making extra work for my healer at the very least. If they don't appreciated me calling then out, maybe they should have queued for the role they actually intended to fill and I'd have no problems with them. Or they could take the hint and actually slot a taunt and I'd have no problem with them.

The definition of "toxic" within the context of this conversation is subjective. I wouldn't consider bad language alone to be toxic. Some of the nicest people that I know sound like they probably auditioned, and were at least considered, for roles in "Boondock Saints."
I believe that it would be a violation of the ToS to name and shame. The "calling them out" comment was most likely refering to doing so in the group.
It's virtually impossible to give a well informed opinion with so few details, however, be mindful of the rent you charge for the space in your head.

By all means, call someone out for it. But expect to deal with the aftermath of it. My only point is that once someone does that, they should expect some level of hostility because most people don't like to be confronted by other people.
So call someone out for this but then don't come to the forums complaining that they weren't nice to you. And don't report someone because they used bad language. It devalues the report system and bad language isn't a reason to report anyone in a game rated M.

Rated M means adults should be playing the game. And adults should be mature enough to handle adult language.
