However...the fact that certain accessories and hairstyles are gender-locked is something I have been complaining about for a long time. There seems to be no logic at all behind the fact that some lipstick can be used on male or female models, and that certain hairstyles should be deemed "just for girls" when the tousled bard hairstyle can be used on both and looks incredibly feminine. I fail, utterly, to see the logic behind why some things are gender-locked and others are not. If any item was available to use on either gender model, people could more easily create their own middle ground, if that's what they want.

Please, ZOS, for the love of the Eight, unlock all costumables so they can be used on either gender. The architecture clearly exists already.

females can do male dances but males cant :( but in summerset we see a male altmer in the house of reveries doing female dances

How much more feminin would you expect it to become with a "middle gender"??
Or would Crown Crate boob implants also do the job :grimace:

If I didn't have crowns to pay for the hair, the dress, the make-up, and the personality, he would not look NEARLY as feminine.

That was the absolute most feminine I could make him, and it took hours to farm that robe.

Again, I don't expect a third gender, but I'd like it...

So ZOS, why can't we put all jewelry and accessories on either gender? The best stuff is locked to female only. I wanted to put some ear rings and a hair flower on my male toon and it won't let me. Why? Please change this so nothing is locked to a specific gender.

I also noticed this in ESO.

Why go to so much effort and hassle to lock items on gender specific instead of letting any char, wear any jewellery.

Seems like ZOS are wasting resources in places that it does not matter one way or another.

how about you stop randomly removing post at will and then calling them "inappropriate". what's inappropriate about asking why a post has been removed? and what was inappropritate about the original post in the first place, what's wrong with a picture of bender from futurama?

While I don't necessarily agree with the topic of gender bending, I must say the creativity of many people in this thread and the characters they have come up with are fantastic! I especially think the OP did a great job! Nice work everyone!

While in general I like to see a huge creativity in such threads, I see also a blinking eye from ZOS. While we are not allowed to put some adornments on some races or faces for unknown reasons, definitely not technical, in a same time we are allowed to use duchess personality on all male races and characters, automatically turning them into androgyne. How it works, for or against, other players' immersion, probably nobody cares. Just mind that once the duchess personality will not be allowed for male characters, most of the problem and hate is over.

Why is ZOS being blatantly sexist in what a Male/Female character can/cannot wear?

Simple question. It takes more effort to make there items gender specific than it would be make them available to all. What was your thinking behind this decision?.

To answer the question as to what was wrong with the picture of Bender from Futurama, the picture that was used was the character actually known as "The Gender Bender". This character was created with the intent of being offensive, therefore it was removed.

do you even know the episode this character is from? do you even understand what it was about and why they invented the character "The Gender Bender" for Bender in this episode?
they were mocking "professional" wrestling and the overinflated "masculinity" portrait in this sport. so in this episode the only way to kill Benders popularity was to make him mock the male gender by exaggeration of the female.

there is nothing offensive about it (unless maybe you're a die-hard wrestling fan) and i certainly didn't post the picture with offensive intent but because the threads title contained the words "gender bender" and Bender is always hilarious. that you find offense in just about anything now is sad, real sad!

You wouldn't say that when she started growing fur, and fangs... ;)

Well done, @max_only ! They really do look androgynous! Which isn't very easy to do with male characters in this game, IMO.

It sure is nice to have a game where clothes and armor don't magically change their entire shape and style depending on the wearer's gender.

Some do. Just look at the male/female versions of the Dark Seducer costume.

This one looks feminine from top to the bottom, especially the face. I see no masculine effects and the first thought when I saw it was, what a grumpy ugly woman :p .
The clothes are also type of female, more like a robe/dress than a jerkin, even if you try to convince for something else...

How in the hey have some of you all, and OP managed to pull such distinction from character creation?

Im truly impressed! Is it mainly the costumes? No, I can see some carefully sculpted faces... I cant seem to make any of my Dunmer look very different from eachother…

The orcs seem to have a wider range of distinctive facial morphing. Why is that?
