Oceanic NA Server issues?

A huge bunch of us are having issues logging into NA and when logged in terrible pings. Seems to be affecting everyone in all 3 guilds I have discord access to outside of the game that are heavily populated by Oceanics. It is just our side of the world or is the whole NA server dodgy at the moment?

Aussie here, also cannot login I get error 200. About another 5 in discord, also all aussies who cannot login or have unplayable ping

There's an issue for anyone who uses either Telstra or an ISP that uses Telstra Wholesale/Telstra Global for the link between AU and USA.

I'm south american and last night (9 hours ago) was really bad. A bunch of random dc's, bad ping and lag etc.

The state of the game is currently really bad I hope ZOS does something quickly.

I'm in AUS but on the EU server on Xbox and having the same issues. Was fine a couple of hours ago but now keeps disconnecting.

Not everything is ZOS's fault. When it comes to internet issues, lots of times, and I'd even say most of the time, it's not ZOS where the problem lies.

If that's the case though - and I'm also on Telstra Cable broadband - why is it apparently affecting my connection to the PS4 EU server...? The Aussie Broadband Outages page mentioned on the Whirlpool forum specifically mentions ADSL 1 & 2 and NBN but not Cable broadband?
I've had up to 5 second lag tonight, 3 blue screens in <5 min, "an internal error occurred ", and "connection to server timed out" messages for half an hour before it let me log back in.

AussieBB don't sell Telstra Cable - their outage page is specific to what they sell.

As for EU, the majority of EU traffic from Australia goes via USA because it's cheaper (probably something to do with cheaper to drop a seabed cable than try and get it up through eastern Asia). This is why I get 270ms ping to the NA servers but 400ms to EU without using a VPN.

I was afraid of that - though when I mentioned this to my son, he said he's having trouble connecting to Overwatch's Sydney server.

From what I was reading, for Overwatch you still authenticate to Blizzard's US server, so even though connection to the actual 'game' server will be fine, dropping data to the auth servers is causing other people to still get booted.

I have been having trouble last two days, but only on one character (only have been on 4 characters in that time). It gets continual drop out to login and periodic continual time outs when trying to log back in. On other characters I played for 5 hours without any troubles. I am on PC-NA with iinet (I guess a Telstra wholesale)
