Defile doesn't need a nerf, it needs a buff

So they are going to reduce timers on defile effects on pretty much everything, meanwhile some people are saying this is a good thing. I have to strongly just disagree with this.

Currently there is way too much healing in pvp, especially in cp version of Cyrodiil. Magplars and magdens are so painful to kill or anyone they are running around with because their super high healing bursts.
Even some stam classes have such a effective healing, to the point that right now the defile barely seems to effect these types of players.

This change might be good for non cp but come on, we all know that Sotha Sil is low population vs Vivec/Shor and making the healers even stronger than they are due defiles being shorter is just going to make this worse.

However, Durok's needed the nerf I still think though that it should have just affected one target a time, not anyone who touches the player wearing it.

So I guess the OP is saying that, because the magplars and magdens he/she has run up against actually heal themselves instead of just standing there and letting him/her murder them, that they need nerfed?

Go figure. Whoda thunk that a magplar or a magden would have self-healing capabilities.

You have to actually have some sort of reasoning and analysis, yourself, before someone can elaborate on why you're wrong.

You got a reply that was equal in quality and thoughtfulness to that of your OP.

Due to the fact that defile effects both and it’s so easy to get.
Go use defile pots with assassin gule if you want more defile up time.

I did point out that there is too much healing going at the moment and the counter play for that is heavily nerfed making it stronger than it already it is or needs to be.

I am well aware people dislike defiles due to dot attacks being very common now but nerfing defile just because of that isn't good reason enough, nothing wrong with efficient healers but there is something wrong if they can withstand everything till either out of resources which is rare to see with magplars tbh.

If they are going to nerf up time of defile to almost non existent at least give the cp boost a buff or buff defiles percentage on abilities.

If they spend the majority of their resources and action healing while you spend the majority of your resources and action attacking them, I actually call that balanced. It's when they can dish out massive healing and massive damage at the same time that you might could make an argument iMO. Just saying someone is unkillable should not dictate a nerf if they are spending most of their resources on defense and have little offense.

Edit: and there is a difference between them being able to dish out both offense and defense from the beginning and on the other hand, them defensively healing until your resources are low (resource managment) and then going offensive on you when you are out of resources.

Elite healers barely feel defile. Go up against an elite Templar and they will heal forever, and then turn around, put a bubble on you, proc Zaan, hit you with soul assault, hit you with Jesus beam, you’re dead.

Healing and mitigation is way too strong. Only noobs cry about defile.
