im going to look at this and PRETEND we are representative of the entire community!

like how many people play everyday? 1 million? idk, but lets pretend that 10% say they are leaving...100k leaving? idk..that sounds iffy...

It's the same thing every patch and we have seen and recovered from worse. Final patch notes is when I start to worry.

ZOS would have to do some serious evil for me to quit. I've been here since beta. Seen all that I love changed over time. Lesson I've learned is, you can quit or you can accept the learning curve challenge. Remember Morrowind when everyone panicked over the sustain changes. Well those of us that are still around stuck thru that and now we are better players because of that.

Different things bother different people. I left for 8 months when the Morrowind changes hit. That was something I disagreed with though I understand that many felt it was good for the health of the game. None of the changes in these most recent patch notes make we want to leave, but they also don't negatively affect the things I personally do in game on a daily basis. If the changes alter the game on a fundamental level for some people, I wouldn't blame them for wanting to try something else out.

You're right red. Everyone enjoys different aspects of the game. I do alot of BG's and questing, but I have friends who do end game PvE. I can certainly agree that nerfs that affect BG's would harm me, but other stuff I just brush off.

Why would anyone?? Don't post much but been playing everyday for 3 years.. If I was going to quit it would of been at One Tam.. Hate the fact that there isn't a zone were you actually needed some skill to run around it Like Craiglorn used to be. Gave people motivation... But hey we move on.. If ya love the game you adapt through the changes. May not like them all but hey when you have millions of players its hard to make them all happy all the time.

To be fair, if someone has left, they won't see this poll... unless they haven't left yet, then they'd still be here. Constructive criticism can be a good thing and not necessarily an indication of wanting to leave completely.

i intentionally chose not to put the "other" option this time...it seems to me that the discussion is derailed, sometimes, by folks who read the question incorrectly, try to troll, successfully troll, attack the question, attack the poll's validity, etc.

By all means, all polls can have an "other" option. I just personally don't see it applying in this case. I'm sure there might be some edge cases that fall into that category, but off the top of my head and based on the question, it feels like yes/no works well enough here.

Honestly, I'm not even really sure what was the intent of the original question. It doesn't make any sense.

Why would anyone leave a game because of "patch notes". Perhaps they might leave a game due to the content of those same patch notes or due to there not being any patch notes or any permutation thereof, but it would be plain silly to leave simply because they exist.

Is it any wonder things have gotten a bit silly?

I don't generally read patch notes until they go live, and then only in respect of a few things. Changes to skills etc are all part of the evolution of MMOs and help keep the game fresh, but most people wouldn't even notice them if they didn't obsess over what other people are telling them ! It's different for the small number of highly competitive players, for whom any change can make a difference no matter how small, but for most players such things are neither here nor there. Besides, we should at least try out the changes before passing judgement on them rather than just reacting to patch notes and the reactions of other people most of whom haven't tried them out either.

I dont really care about "nerfs" or patch notes, I adapt and move on. The amount of moaning and crying over single skills or sets is totally exaggerated.

What is pushing me away from ESO, and is probably going to make me start playing WoW again when that classic server goes live, is the insane amount of bugs and terrible PvP server performance.

Going to Cyro and having skills not cast, not being able to break free, bar swap, dropping dead when theres no one around cause the server decided you were somewhere else, etc... thats the kind of stuff thats gonna make me quit. I already cancelled my ESO+ sub.

If you were leaving due to stupid balance changes, you already left with morrowind. We get balance changes every 3 months.

There really isnt anything earth shattering in these patch notes unless you exclusively play a werewolf. Admittedly, I am not qualified to discuss werewolf balance. I dont find them to be a problem to fight against, but have very little playtime actually using their skills.
