Akavir

How would you like to visit this Continent shrouded in mystery? If so, would you like it to be an expansion to ESO or an entire single player game?

I, for one, would love a single player epic set on Akavir. I'd also like to have prologue based on race, like DA: Origins. Selecting one of the current Tamrielic races would offer you a prologue explaining how it is you came to be in this land. While choosing one of the four Akaviri races would offer insite on they're culture and conflicts before setting you upon your mission. I would also like to know how exactly the Aedra and Daedra fit into Akaviri culture.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I realize this is a highly unlikely scenario but it's fun to speculate.

Honestly, I don't want it in ESO. At first, I thought the idea could be cool, but I don't see how it could fit in. I would want our first experience (if we ever get it) in Akavir, to be in the form of a core, single player game.

But, this is mostly wishful thinking and may never happen.

    Nah.

Just make it a stand-alone, single-player Elder Scrolls game instead. A Chapter or DLC wouldn't do it justice.

I don't think the entire continent could be a single expansion, but I do think it would be better off being in ESO than a single player game.

Think it would be ace to add different continents to the game and have proper expansion, including classes, races, skill lines etc, (the usual) also adding different stuff to the game, systems, modes etc. aka it is the homeland of dragons after all *cough* also could have a pvp map like croydiil with the four races fighting each other. It would be ace to explore more of nirn itself but....

It wont be for a long time off as the rest of Tamriel still needs filling out.

Proper expansions sounds like an ace idea tho, hey we might get to go to other lands on nirn we know about and ones we don’t yet, it’s in the hands of the writers there. The world of elder scrolls still has a lot of potential and gaps to be filled.

Time will tell. But going to akavir in ESO in a form of a whole new land mass to explore like Tamriel would be epic!!

^^ This. Akavir could work as a real expansion instead of a chapter. They wouldn't have to fill in the entire map, but a few zones to start with at least.

+1 added to ESO rather then a stand alone single player game

the MMO experience beats single player every time

I would love to see a single player TES game allowing us to explore the mysteries of Akavir! In detail. Since ESO just cannot really afford to spend just as much detail as a solo game like Skyrim could... and I think Akavir would deserve that sort of detail! And I love the idea of having different prolouges depending on player selection, I adored that concept back in DA:O, and I would adore it even more in an elder scrolls game!

But I would also want a hint at those mysteries in an ESO expansion someday... maybe not going to akavir proper, but... therer are three certain islands between Akavir and Tamriel, Cathnoquey Esroniet and Yneslea... which currently would be in Akaviri hands, and indubiately the staging ports of the invasion that formed the pact ten years before the events of ESO. And thus... would make a -perfect- setting for an expansion that allows our player characters to encounter akaviri culture and races, while dealing with some non-daedric problems for a change as they quest to avert a new akaviri invasion, perhaps?
