Questions about the daily rewards

I have zero interest in the PVP point rewards. I don't do PVP. Not going there. So, question is: if I don't take the dailies related to PVP points, does that cause some issues with taking future dailies that I do want?

It's free AP ... so why not take it?

Especially since you don't have to even log into a PvP campaign to redeem your rewards ...

There's no way to "skip" a daily reward by the way. You have to accept it to move on to the next day's reward.

You have to take the AP in order to get the next daily rewards, so yes, it is going to cause you issues. Fortunately, the acquired AP doesn't require you to do anything PVP related and it will count towards unlocking your Alliance War skill lines (slowly) and you can spend it on anything you can buy for AP (like jewelry, sets, monster helms, furnishings, trait stones, etc.)

Okay, thanks guys. I'm really new here so things like that are.... um.... not transparent to me.

So.... where do I use that stuff on things? I'm so lost 90% of the time.... Serious. I haven't played an MMO for a long time - yeah, 8 years in WoW and 3 in RIFT - but that was all a VERY long time back now....

AP are confusing, they are both a sort of experience point and a currency. So you can actually ignore them if you like, but as you get more and more they may eventually accumulate to where it unlocks purchases you can get in Cyrodiil from vendors. :) I'm hoping, at least, that over time the daily reward AP will actually level me up a bit!

You can use AP to buy things from various PVP vendors in the Battlegrounds camps, Cyrodiil home gates, Cyrodiil towns, the Imperial City. AP is typically more common than gold, so expect things to be expensive.

Notable things to buy with AP:
Akaviri Motifs from a vendor in the Cyrodiil Home Gates
Militant Ordinator Motifs from the Battlegrounds camp
Random Golden Jewelry and Monster Helms or Shoulders from the Golden Vendor (available weekends in Cyrodiil, can be purchased for gold or AP)
Jewelry Trait Material (I think Triune?)

Oh, really? I - haven't messed with Cyrodiil because it seems like it's all PVP and I just don't go there. So - do you have to wait until your "alliance" is in power (ugh, don't know what the terms are, sorry) before you try to spend the points? That's how it worked in WoW and RIFT. You had to be careful....

Depending on what you want to buy, yes and no.

If you want to buy from the Golden Vendor or anything sold at your Alliance's Home Gate, no, you can always access that simply by entering a Cyrodiil campaign.

If you want gear from a specific town, yes, your alliance has to control the town.
