Spouses for eso like Skyrim

how about an option to create a spouse for your character, like you do when you create a playable character. you could purchase a spouse token from the crown store and create your spouse. the spouse could function like the banker, merchant a smuggler assistants and could be placed in your homestead or toggle on/off in PVE zones. The spouse could also have its own little stop and daily reward like the spouses one ESO V: Skyrim.

your thoughts?

You can ... It's called ring of mara but it's another player not an NPC and you get a bonus when you play together wearing your wedding rings

Yes, but only when they are online, i mostly play solo, so that option is out for me. Also the rings of mara buff are pointless when you are max level. They just take away from the set buffs that you currently have equipped. Why would i put on a ring of mara when it just takes away the fifth set bonus in an armor set. It make no sense. And with the “spouse assisstant” which i’ve described, you get more utility out of it than the other assisstants.

I would like something like this, but not a random NPC with no personality whom I bought with a token...I would like there to be a quest, some sort of backstory and at least the semblance of building a relationship with them...it is much too optimistic to hope for something like the companion system from SWTOR at this point but a cardboard cutout "spouse" wouldn't do much for me except add some life to my house, I guess....

A quest to gain a spouse would be great, i think it would give more to the RPG aspect of ESO, i don’t like the idea of just buy a pre-made assisstant. I think it should be like i suggested in my first post where you “create” the spouse the same way you create a playable character so it could be more personalized for your character/RPG experience

No, if you want a relationship look elsewhere and not in game

Yes, I'd love an NPC spouse with personality and dialogue. Razum-dar and Naryu are so popular, surely the devs can see that this is something that would go down well with the fans.
No, if you want a relationship look elsewhere and not in game
It's to enrich your in-game life, and like most games, it would be optional.

He doesn't want a "relationship." What a ridiculous thing to say. He just wants an NPC spouse in the game just for fun to add some interest to his game, like we had in Skyrim.
What you said is like saying "No, if you want to ride a horse, get a real horse and don't play ESO." Or, "No, if you want to explore a cave, go spelunking in the real world and don't do delves in Tamriel."

Am I the only one that (edit: in skyrim :D) wanted to kill my beloved after a few (ok not that few) hours of listening to the eversame lines of text?

"Hey, look, a cave. I wonder what's inside." <- yes dear, its the very same cave you rushed in 10 times already. Tried to single handedly kill 100 bears only to get stuck somewhere in my way and be torn to pieces. :#

    No, ty.

We already have bankers, merchants, etc. Why would they create another NPC that does what we already have? I don't understand. Am I missing something? An as for buying it from the crown store, no. I'm so sick of this being encouraged.

EDIT: You want to buy a wife. lol Have you tried the internet? ;)
The last thing I want is someone nagging me in a game or relentlessly following me around. Perhaps if we could also make them wear concrete shoes?

    Gentle nudge! Lovingly.
if I could make another character, their name would be Cries-For-Character-Slots. AKA, I need more.

I'd like to see multiple pre-set options like Skyrim but with more in-depth quests and personalities. Jealousy mechanic, cheating? Yes please.

I mean, I would never cheat on my husband/wife, but... would be so cool to see!

Would your spouse nag you to do things like, "I asked you 3 time now to do your writs and your still messing around at that dolmen! When are you going to get those writs done?" or "When your done flirting with the banker feel free to queue up the dungeon"

There's plenty of real girls that play eso, that might be willing to be your eso wife!!!!!!

When I played a lot a couple of years ago I had a eso wife. Although It's a pain if you have a actual wife too.

Real wife wants stuff done around the house, while my eso wife is asking to do dungeons, trials, and craft her stuff. Juggling two women isn't fun at all :(

FYI: My actual wife and eso wife were well aware of each other, and my real wife was cool with it as long as it was all in fun ;)

That might be cool as long a they dont just walk back and forth, and have 3 sentences of dialogue.

Maybe they can update the merchant, smuggler, and banker to do more in the home setting.

Another idea would be actually running into your hirelings dropping of mats at the house.

But you best bet is to build out your home with the most services and your guildies probably will drop in for one stop crafting. Real people are a million times better than any npc ;)

This would be cool. The ring of Mara puts me in a weird spot, as I am married IRL, and I don't feel comfortable with marrying in a game. I know it's just a game but it's weird. I would like a sub-character NPC I can customize

LoL, I did the ring of Mara with my eso wife!!!!!!!

I understand why you might feel that way, all marriages are different. I mostly play with my wife in the room and she's cool with me playing games online with other girls.

My wife know me, like she know the back of her hand. We've been together since we were 16 (I'm 37 now), and I'm not leaving.

I've also don't have and never have been into social media, sending pics of my junk, or any other things of that matter.

Sadly, my wife is not a gamer. The thought was I'd have her design a character that I could marry in game.

No. No. No way. Not supporting this. Nope. And while we'ere at it, no kids to adopt either like in Skyrim.

    NO SPOUSES!!!

I'm confused in why some people want to pay money for more NPC interactions. MMO's are made to be played with real people!!!!!

    Case and point......

You want a ESO waifu? There's girls that play, and maybe looking for a ESO husband, or try a roleplaying guild. Otherwise, Try being a cool socialable player.

I've had two video game waifu's in Fable and ESO. Though my Fable waifu gave me a STD (not in real life, but in game), but we're still cool.

You want to adopt kids? If your an adult, and you have some younger players in your guild that you're always helping, you pretty much adopted them.

Human interaction is bar non to some bot that's not even A.I. come on people!!!!!!!!!!
