    You can always buy some Julianos gear and even Willpower jewellery. If you don't own Orsinium, someone else will and can make it for you or will have it listed in a guild store. Farm up a 2p monster set like Skoria and you'll be fine.

    Magplars are 2nd worst damage dealers. The best players do about 30% less DPS on a magplar (40k) compared to real DD class (60k)

    Try mothers sorrow/BSW/MSA inferno/skoria...hate to say it but inferno/inferno dot ranged magplars score higher dps theses days...If you really wanna compete reroll to a healer or play mag/stamNB or magsorc...

    Magplar damage is fine. Willpower julianos and skoria is the best you can do without dlc.

    Well 2handed is not ideal for dungeons. People usually bow and duel weild. Stamina dragonknights have much bettter deeps than a magplar aslong as you go duel weild and bow

    With no access to DLCs I would use Julianos + Mothersorrow/BSW + Skoria.

    Don't worry about "Magplars having terrible DPS" nay sayers, whether not its true is irrelevant since most of your dps will be skill limited anyway.

    I like my Julianos, BSW, Skoria set up. But you'll have to check just how high your BSW uptime is you'll want to be hitting at least 60% uptime.

    Mothers sorrow might give better DPS but you wont see it on a target dummy because its power is from the Major Force from Warhorn to be strong. If you have a reliable healer friend its good but solo not so much. Its really not worth the huge amounts of gold people are selling it for, if you have it use it though.

    A cool thing I did was wait until there was a ESO+ free weekend then I took an attuned crafting station and attuned it to Julianos an put it in my house now I can make it whenever I want.

    You get 250 master writs and but it from the master writ trader (who is in the capital cities). Then you travel to the Julianos Craft station in Wrothgar and use the attunable crafting station. Then you can place it inside your house using the housing editor.

    You need 5 pcs of each although staves count as two pieces. Its much easier to craft the weapons so probably go with two julianos inferno staves (infused front bar, nirnhoned or infused back bar) and a Heavy Julianos Chest piece and Medium pants the rest in light armor. Then farm the City of Ash (1) dungeon in veteran mode for the purple jewellery. The you need Vuklan Skoria monster helmet which you get for completing the City of Ash 2 dungeon in Veteran mode (that can be very hard if you are low cp) then you get the shoulder from doing undaunted pledges and opening Gwillion the red chest. You need both in Light orrr have light armor pants and a medium helmet. There is an undaunted passive that gives you 6% extra resources if you have at least 1 of each armor type but you also need 5 pc of light armor total or you don't get the light armor passives. heavy chest pieces give you the most resistances then you want a helmet or pants in medium for resistance.

    Mothers sorrow you can buy for a lot of gold or find in the Deeshan region.

    This^

    I run WM and IA, but with Skoria, and can do a nice chunk of dmg. Just make sure to keep up your Entropy and use your purifying light at all times for the extra bit of unblockable, unpurgeable dmg. Magplars can still perform well in PvP.

    WM= War Maiden
    IA= Innate Axiom

    I run the Innate Axiom in heavy on the body, except waist in light (light would be far better for dmg and sustain, but we templars don't really have any viable shields, so heavy it is). Jewelry (magicka recovery glyphs) and weapons in War Maiden. Weapons should be destruction staff (fire)with a weapon dmg enchant, and dual wield of your choice. I personally prefer two swords, one nirnhoned with a glyph of decreased health, the other infused with a weapon dmg enchant. The Skoria can be either heavy head/medium shoulders for the Undaunted passive, or the way I prefer with the Heavy head light shoulders for the light armor passives. All body pieces should be infused on the Chest/legs/head (max magicka or tri-stat glyphs), and impenetrable on the hands/feet/waist/shoulder (max mag glyphs).

    You won't see a lot of damage on your character sheet, and that can look underwhelming, but most of your damage is going to be hidden in your sets and your glyph procs. It'll look pathetic until you take it out into the field and actually run it a bit.

    Edited to mention, this is strictly a PvP set-up. I can't help you with PvE.

    Speaking strictly for PvE Mother sorrow/Burning Spellweave/Skoria is your best bet. War Maiden is not a good set in PvE.
