Sound/mic question

So I'm looking for a way to have all the in game sounds come through my speakers, and have discord group chat and mic go through my headset.
Is this possible?
From what I can tell the sound card is on the motherboard, and when I have the speakers plugged in the back plug jack, and the mic headset in the front plug jack I can get the mic to work but I can't get group chat to come through the headphones.
In discord it only give me the option of realtek default for incoming and outgoing
