Tsaesci Motif?

aren't these akavir? why are we getting motifs from them? where did the tsaesci come from? what....didn't even see this coming? What's the relation between them and whatever dlc they came out with.

(only asking because i saw the crafting motif in the store...)

Other former members of the Dragonguard followed different pursuits. Some joined their former centurion, Dinieras-Ves, when he founded the organization that would later come to be known as the Fighters Guild. Others became roving adventurers, selling their services as combat trainers or swords-for-hire.

One of these was a former Dragonguard whose name is now lost, and is known only to this chronicler as the Grandmaster. He too it upon himself to ensure that the martial and mystical arts of the old Akaviri would survive into the new and turbulet Second Era. However, he would teach his skills only on condition that those he taught would go on to teach others. This was the origin of those whome we now call "the Dragon Knights."

Just to add to any confusion, the lore books for the older Akaviri motif often include description about how that item is different from Kamal to Tsaesci, and it has multiple styles for several items.

So, in brief, yes the Tsaesci are from Akavir, but there's been enough contact between the two continents over the years - including a significant number of Tsaesci living in Tamriel for several centuries, that Akaviri arms and armour are known in Tamriel and don't need a special introduction or to be tied to a DLC to make sense now.

The Tsaesci Motif is similar to the Ancient Elf or Daedric style, or silk in Medieval Europe - exotic, rare and expensive but not totally unheard of.
