Suggestion: Hair Dye

So one of my Characters, RP wise, wear's a white wig. Problem is in order to do that I had to make her natural hair color white. I'd like to see hair color be changeable in the same way hair style is. Not asking for any new colors, just the ability to change it with a different style. Anyone else want to be able to dye their hair?

Yes agreed. A hair dye station would be cool, don't mind forking over some gold to use it either but Zos would probs want Crowns (ie: real dosh) for the ability to use it.

Being able to change hair colour should have come with the hair pack from the Crown store anyway, I could have slapped a kipper when I found out it didn't...

Its been suggested before. Hopefully they will get around to it eventually. A lot of people didn't think an outfit station would happen, but it did, thankfully. Even if it's not an actual barbor shop or station, would be nice to have a crown pack of base game hair dyes that allow my high elf to finally have black hair.....

Please for the love of god add this!!! I am so f***ing sick of seeing same old hair colors every day that dont match their color from character creator lighting i choose black get in game nope just dark brown...

Secondly im so frigging tired of npcs in game having hair,eye, jewelry, style etc combos we cant have

Eveli has a shade of strawberry blonde hair and a shade of blue eyes we can't have on bosmers.

Until we got the face marking pack slogara in wrothgar had makeup orcs couldn't have.

Leythan in summerset has black hair as an altmer im friggan tired of this limited hairs...

I would love a hair dye option. There's nothing worse than choosing a shade of hair I think will look right for my character in the dark character creation screen and then seeing them in sunlight for the first time and being like "Oh. That's what your hair color is. "

Agree a hair dye station is something thats now really missing for a long time. I mean you can skin change, outfits, beards and even hair itself but not dye it? That should be really possible.

a hair dye station sounds silly to me -- i mean no offense, just personally it sounds like a weird thing to walk up to -- but a Barbershop i think i could get behind.

still, it sounds most likely and congruent to just have it as an option in the Appearance tab, just like changing your hairstyle (but independent of the hairstyle, of course). it'd probably be a Collection item from the Crown Store (the way i'm thinking) so that you get, y'know, this one color accessible to all your characters for 200 Crowns or whatever and you can change it freely. they'd have to come up with names for each hair color, and customers would have to buy each color they want on their account, but it enables sharing (like if you have lots of Altmer and they wish they had black hair it's a one-time purchase).

maybe you guys are talking more like an Outfit Station thing, where each application would be a gold cost? that system sounds like it'd require the unlocking of colors. might be cheaper cash-wise and more expensive time-wise. plus, since that's shared across the account as well, they might restrict the auto-unlock to colors that have been selected at character creation. so the player who just happened to put black hair on their Breton would have that color unlocked, but someone just full of Altmer would have to go hit an achievement.

i dunno, the second way sounds messier to make fair, i think. feel free to tear my argument apart.

I'm content with my hair color. But still, I approve of your suggestion. This should definitely be an option in the game.

And this would be even cooler if the "dye" washed out and reverted to the "original" hair color as soon as our characters fall into water...

And it would be great if we could unlock more permanent hair colors to use with a character recustomization token in the crown store. I do recall there have been some deeply disappointed they cannot make an black haired altmer, despite there being some as NPCs in the game...

We can use skins, makeup, armor that is COMPLETELY different that it's original look, polymorphs and costumes... but NO ONE is Tamriel has thought of hair dye? On Earth, they were dying hair at least as far back as the Romans, so why won't Tamrielians be doing it.

Add beard dye to that idea and while at it, why not streaks of color for the beard like the hair sets they sell.

That way, my avatar, Angry Blue Streak can have his blue streaked hair not coupled with his totally black beard; it looks weird.

It's too late, bretons and dark elves already have purple hair as a default option.
