Poisons wont work on any boss

Pretty much what the title says. My poisons failed to trigger during any boss fight. Why is this? Is it a bug? If this is intentional then wtf was the thinking behind this decision?

Happened on xb1 eu server.

    Its why poison is considered garbage here.. for some reason Zos has a fetish with fire magic users, very boring tbh..

    But the issue is that the crafted poisons on your weapons no longer activate on any boss!

    Yeah but its possible some skill or gear piece you are using is causing the bug. Any and all information helps. Even though it should be the developers job to test and work out these kinds of things, this game relies on the player-base to provide all of that info. This game operates on a skeleton-crew it seems. Be as overly informative as possible.

    Can you give an example? Which boss seems to be immune? I am using poison all the time and havent noticed this behaviour yet - it doesnt mean it doesnt exist :wink:

    Bumping because this issue still hasnt been fixed. Try using an Entrapping Poison on a boss. The poison fails to trigger.

    Likely because bosses are immune to crowd control effects.
    This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

    doesnt work on bear enemies too. and they arent bosses. i thoroughly tested it out on all sorts of enemies and sent ZOS reports on the ticket i submitted.

    What type of poisons are you using? A poison with effects that an enemy is immune to will appear that your poison is never firing. You mention trapping poison, there's a huge member of npc enemies who are immune to cc, including all bosses. Are there other types of poison you've confirmed are not working for you in boss fights?

    Any poison that contains anything that hinders the movement does not work on certain enemies. The reason i mentioned it is because they used to work all the time before, unless they changed enemies in patch notes? I failed to see any mention of it anywhere. Create hindering and entrapping poisons and test it out on different enemies. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

    I promise they all used to work before on the enemies they no longer work on. Unless i can see an official note from ZOS or on patch notes saying that movement poisons were nerfed on enemies/bosses, then i still call this issue a bug.

    In general, almost all bosses are immune to control effects i.e. snares, immobilize and stuns. It is not a bug that your snaring poisons are not working on bosses and some mobs with snare and stun immunity. It's working as intended.

    The script of bears makes them immediately break free if they get immobilized, it happens quick though and might be not always visible. After that they're of cource CC immune. Most, if not all, group dungeon bosses I know of, are immune to at least any immobilization, if not also to slowdowns. Same for overland bosses. Not sure about solo delve / public dungeon bosses though.

    but the thing is. its not working on enemies that they used to work on before.

    but they're not immune to DPS ,working as intended. anything outside of ZOS very narrow design philosophy for mechanics is an afterthought. its why CC and utility are meh in PVE and always getting the nerf in for PVP reasons.
