Do you need to be fully traited in jewellery (rings and ammys) or do you only need to be fully traited in either rings OR amulets?

You only need to research each trait once to get the achievement. It's the same as for the armor & weapon trait achievements. The fastest is probably to research trait 1 on Necklaces, trait 2 on Rings, trait 3 on Necklaces etc. because research timers double each time.
