Battleground Bug

Please fix the battleground bug where the match never starts. Today was my first time playing in about a month and my second match in I get a "waiting for players" that goes on forever. The worst part is that to end this infinite wait you have to leave and then eat a battleground deserter debuff which won't let you reque for 20 minutes or however long the wait is. Today was the first time I had free-time in a while and I ended up quitting after 30 minutes. Thanks ZOS I'm glad that you care so much about the quality of the content you release!

I second this, have had this bug a couple of times a while ago. Plus if you leave the match that never you get a 20 min. penalty for deserting.

So, here's the thing. What's actually happening is the people who are queued for your particular match are stuck at the "Forming Group" phase. They've gone past the queue portion, and while they get stuck in this forming group phase, they never actually join the group or teleport into the arena. Now, you join the physical party AFTER you teleport into the arena, so that's why it keeps you waiting indefinitely. Their being stuck in the forming phase prevents other queued people from taking their place.

I found a fix by accident though. When you are stuck Forming Group, and you will see it if you open your party menu and see the words, and never get ported into the arena, reload your UI.

I did this on a lark, and the first loading screen after reloading the UI was the BG screen, and I went immediately into the arena. Problem solved.

What's weird is it also failed about seventeen queues in a row on my side because I was stuck forming group for the original. I figured it must have been on my side, saw the forming group thing, and reloaded.

Something's definitely broken.

I stopped playing eso in 2015, due to its collection of bugs, I come back in 2019 and I see bugs reported years ago and still didn't get fixed. What is this company doing?

I got stuck yesterday for 30 minutes "Waiting for players..." on my sorc alt.
Right as I'm typing, am stuck on my NB since the past 20 minutes

If you leave or crash due to server lag, you get penalty... incredible!

I'm currently waiting on a 20 minute penalty for leaving a bugged match... again.

Telling me to "Please check your internet connection" when it's obviously not my connection is one thing, but punishing me for a bug that they fail to fix is just *** up.

15 minutes passed already.

I will leave in 10 minutes and get an unfair 20 min penalty.

I got one today where the green team would never get more than 2 players. I waited for about 15 minutes before deserting. Half an hour later I queued for a random BG again and entered what was probably the same game. Same type, same map, a green team that never got more than 2 players even though people waited for ages. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so annoying!

I also just came back to ESO about a month ago and started play some BG. For my case I have this bug like 50% of the time and it's annoying especially you get 20 min deserter debuff after leaving the BG.

Each time I gave at least 5 min waiting before I decided to leave. The timer just never started. The worst case I had is I had this bug 3 times in a row.
