There is an ocean shoreline in Cyrodiil? .....ItchyTheRat wrote: »the new "anti cheat" system you have stupidly put in to place that prevents people from crossing the canal next to the gate of Mnem, is royally screwing people in cyrodiil trying to fish, since 50% of the ocean fishing spots are across the damned canal, and now causes the others not to even respawn due to not being fished, can you do something about this ?
Okay, although I don't recall seeing any access to an ocean in Cyrodiil. But what act of "cheating" is ZOS trying to prevent? On the face of it, crossing the canal enables a player's character to do other things that ZOS doesn't want the character to be able to do, other than just fish in the ocean.ItchyTheRat wrote: »well of course, but now, in stead of a total of 8 fishing holes, counting the ones across the canal, we have 3

people have a nasty habit of glitching a captured scroll in bravil, which i suspect what the "fix" is for

"Glitching" a captured scroll in Bravil? What do you mean by "glitching"? How is that the same as "cheating"?ItchyTheRat wrote: »people have a nasty habit of glitching a captured scroll in bravil, which i suspect what the "fix" is for
That's interesting! If there is a way for a player to exploit a flaw in the design or the implementation of a game to their advantage, then someone will find it and exploit it.*ItchyTheRat wrote: »that there used to be a way to get in to bravil, and if the scroll carrier got in to bravil with the scroll, nobody could recapture it, so some people deemed it as cheating.
The "lorebooks" which are classified in the Eidetic Library are another example of an interesting feature that was implemented too hastily, and without any apparent error-checking. It is a total mess. Some ZOS "corrections" -- as few as they have been -- do not actually make an Eidetic document available to a player's character(s), but sequesters it in an inacessible location instead. Some "solution", eh?ItchyTheRat wrote: »you missed one spot across from #1, it is sometimes marked as 1 hole, but are in fact 2 separate ones
and zos doesnt give a rats ass about people fishing, its been shown over and over, and this is just another major *** by them, screwing us over
I feel bad for those still trying to fish there. It's clearly a case of "we don't care about fishing" as you proved by the constant cries of foul water fisherman in Summerset.
From my memory I'm posting a map of spots I recall fishing. I do not have AD characters either so it was necessary to cross over... and there were no ways to scale the cliff face to the south so I can't understand why they had to put a barrier there.

That would still disadvantage DC players. The best solution would be to drop Ocean holes altogether and add one green each to River and Lake, and a second blue to Foul.

Because, up until they added the anti-cheat, you could get across the slaughterfish waters and fish there without being attacked.

I earned it on a DC character without getting attacked by just using the spots not next to Bravil. In fact the only time I died and had to ride back was the first time I tried to make it across that canal and failed. And that was only because I had run out of spots on my side.
If you ever both PvP'd and earned that delve explorer achievement, you know the best time to fish in that area. But yeah, adding the ocean fish to the other waters would be better.
