Jewelry Seams - Finding different levels

Whenever I go farming for jewelry seams, I keep coming across more Pewter than the level I have (4/5 jc), meaning I should be finding more Electrum than Pewter, right? This happened for every level in jc i get, finding more Pewter than copper, then more pewter than silver. Is this supposed to happen or is it a glitch?

Nodes are split 50/50, so you will find 50% according to your current level and 50% according to your current jewelry crafting Engraver passive rank.

So my character who is CP 160+ but at Engraver rank 1 gets 50% platinum and 50% Pewter. I've been farming a lot and that seems accurate to what I'm finding.

So if you are at Engraver rank 4, you should be finding approx. 50% electrum and 50% whatever is your level seam. Now, that can be skewed by having a harder time spotting the other type of seam - I know I find it easier to spot Platinum than Pewter.

I'll tell you this it's not even close to 50 50. I've gotten 7 platinum to 1 copper. Not sure how people come up with these ratio's but they are never correct.

Well, the ratio comes One Tamriel for everything, and was originally introduced with Wrothgar for battleleveled zones like the DLC zones and Cyrodiil. Since then, its been 50% character level and 50% passive level.

Now, whether or not you are finding a 50/50 ratio has more to do with where you are looking, what other people are farming, and how good you are at spotting different types of seams. Jewelry seams are overfarmed and sometimes hard to spot, which makes it likely that you are seeing a skewed result.

I've done quite a bit of farming for the blacksmithing, clothing, and woodworking mats on a character that had level 16+ mats, and CP 160 mats, and 50/50 was pretty accurate over a long period of time.
