is there a reason for this? no its not my internet, I have gig speed and my music that I stream goes uninterrupted. other games also work fine, its just this one.
I am also on PCNA and randomly crashing every 5-10 minutes. What broke ZOS? sigh. I also have 1 gig up and down and no internet issues with any other programs or websites. I can keep chatting on discord while the game crashes away.
I am in the same boat since the official Summerset release. The play time until the game crashes to black screens is completely random. Sometimes it's a few minutes, and sometimes it may be an hour or more. I could be in the middle of a fight, exploring a delve, talking to a merchant, or simply walking around. There is no predictable action or timeframe. As others have stated, it is only this game. I can play Project Cars, Grip, or other graphically intense games with no such problem.
When the game crashes to black screens, the audio continues running, but there is no recovering from the crash state. I have to do a hard reset of the system - hold the power button until the system powers off. Then i restart the system, recover Windows, and try again.
I had no such troubles with the pre-release PTS version! That ran solid!
My system:
- AMD Vishera 6-core CPU
- 16GB DDR3 RAM
- 500GB SATA 3 hard drive
- Dual EVGA GTX-780 Ti Classified w/ 3GB GDDR5 RAM running SLI
- 3 monitors running 1920x1080, so 5760x1080 in game (running this resolution flawlessly for over a year)
- Gb ethernet NIC
Unfortunately, I am not blessed with Gigabit up and down, but I do have 200Mb down and 20Gb up, and network performance is consistent.
I tried updating to the latest graphics drivers (What a fiasco! No thanks Nvidia for the dumbing down of the "game optimizer"), downgrading to graphics drivers from a year ago, repairing the game, and uninstalling/reinstalling the game. No luck!
Lock-ups and crashes are getting OLD!!!! The fun of paying and playing is slowly making my play time shorter every day. Why hasn't this been fixed already????? Tired of re-logging every 30-40 mins.
