Psjiic Portals

I have been seeing less psjiic portals lately. How do they respawn? Are they like normal nodes?
Any insight @ZOS_GinaBruno, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom?

They can spawn instead of runestone nodes.

They spawn in place of enchant nodes. If nobody takes the enchant node, it will just sit there. If the person ahead of you picked up a lot of enchant nodes, they will eventually respawn and have a chance of being portals instead. I'm not sure of the exact chance of a node being a portal, but I'd guess it at around 1 in 30-50.

The portals are rare like master chests. They only show up if people are willing to grab the simple chests or in this case the rune nodes. Most people skip runes in general, so the portals become scarce because of both demand and supply. The same is true of jewelry nodes vs metal nodes, but to a much lesser extent.

I see I guess I am seeing less of them because more people are farming them.

I hate to seem cruel but the market is already saturated with all things Summerset. The place is quickly becoming deserted because everyone in my circles has already farmed their motifs, jewelry traits and achievements. I would encourage more nerfs to drop rates.

That said and to answer your question, I have noticed some differences in drop rates but not on the Psijic Portals. To be fair though I don't go out of my way to find them, they just come naturally on my way from quest arrow to quest arrow.

I am not on PC. There are still people around Summerset.

I found exactly two...two in all my travels doing the psijic skill line quests and some random jewelry seam farming...

why? why not let it be not so hard to find the things you want or buy them cheap.
i don' t need more grinding choirs in this game.

I've found a bunch (including on in Ali'kr today that had a Dwemer motif in it), but the best was a set of 4 in a row when doing a daily in Morrowind. But yeah, they're pretty random.


I do wonder about how random their contents are, because I refuse to believe that the "don't loot everything" crew left a single blue ring (nothing else) in the other portal I found today.

1 in 50 or more sounds right i hardly ever see them so much so theres no point in looking for them.

I find anywhere from 2 to 5 or so a day just out doing whatever. Got a BA axes in one probably my best find so far.

I don't know what the deal is but sometimes, in some places, there's surprisingly many psijiic portals. In vvardenfell I saw none one day, then the next getting skyshards I found, and I'm totally serious, 13. Which was nice. Once of which had the thing we all want.

when is it deserted ? it's packed no matter what time of day or night i sign on.
