Minor Berserk

Hello everyone, last night i finally broke 40k on my magblade using 5 bsw, 5 julianos, 2 zaan and vma staff. I got 40,567 did multiple test and it was about a few hundred point difference but still 40k. I tested my magplar since thats what i wanna try to main right now. Same gear and i got 34,589. I dont have undaunted leveled yet on him but that might be an extra 1k maybe 1.5k with max stats. I havent leveled psijic yet so thats out of the question for a day or 2. So if minor berserk is 10% more damage does that mean out of 40k its doing 4k dps? If i subtract 4k out of 40k it goes doing to 36k but if i multiply 36 with 10% its 3.6k. Thats 39.6k i know its a 400 point difference but i dont understand how minor berserk works i guess. I wanna try to close the gap between my magplar and magblade but idk how, i guess is what im saying. Sorry if this is confusing. I think i confused myself a bit lol. Anyway if someone can explain that would be awesome.

Minor beserk adds 8% damage done.
You are comparing two different things here.

One time you use 40,000 as 100%
Then you use 36,000 as 100%

However your 40,000 here is actually:
x (dps without minor beserk) * 1.08 =40,000

This means: X= 37037,037

If we now wanto what your templars DPS was then we have to do the following:
36,000 * 1.08 = 38,880

Ok so if lets say i did 40k exact if you subtract 8% of that is 3.2k thats 36.8k without minor berserk. Do i multiply 8% of 36.8k then add it? Like (36.8×8%)+36.8=39744. If its 39.7k why am i still doing 40k then? Is it just the other factors? Cp, crit damage, spell damage, rotation etc? Also i didnt know it was 8% i thought it was 10% sorry

What you’re looking for is Z.

Z * 1.08 = 40k

Z = 37,037

40k is the result after 8% is applied. But your Templar goes in the opposite direction, because you are adding it into what he current does, so ~35k * 1.08

Only the math interaction is actually more complicated then that because there are more factors, and you won’t get the full 8%.

Yea i figured it would be complicated. At least i think i understand it a little better. I still like playing my magplar even if hes lower then my magblade. In the end its about having fun right? Play whats fun for you.

Agreed! Just hit 39k on my ranged magplar and i know if i swap julianos for sioria i can go 40k+. Magblade just isn't for me... i much prefer to play on my magplar.
