Dude. do not buy the game via Steam. Steam could not log in for the past couple days while everyone else could. While this was the longest period they could not access ESO it is certainly not the first time.
It essentially puts another layer of possible problems into the mix. There is no benefit to buying via Steam.1 -

And don't buy the game from Steam, there have been a lot of problems recently. They are supposed to be fixed now, but its a bit too early to be sure.
