In my experience that seems about right. If they would just increase the odds, at least double the chance of getting better rewards. Crates would have a better reputation.

The only way to fix the problem is to stop buying the ***. But people are so brainwashed with their "but I want it NOW, don't tell me how to spend my money!" mentality that it's just not going to happen. So why should the company not do ridiculous things like this when even more ridiculous people are wiling to reward them by throwing money at them?

Crown crates are a lesson in expectation management. If you expect to get borderline useless junk, you won’t be disappointed, lol.

Yeah. Fishing, being endlessly grindable and essentially no-risk? Has really low drop rates for anything that's not basic fish meat.

I got the camel mount from free crate. Don’t like camel mounts. They run like Liam Neeson’s daughter in Taken. Anyway this is first time I can remember not wanting any of the mounts. No costumes worth anything unless you want one that was available before or one that is slightly different from one you already have. On a positive note I should have plenty crowns/gems ready for next season. Idk if it’s just me but I see a bad trend starting. I’m on Xbox from what I see trader sales are lowering weekly, ppl are spending their gold for crown store items. All those ppl buying crates with gold will be loaded with gems. If they’re short a motif or two they can buy from store with gems so why bother looking in trader. Doesn’t look so bad right now but imo it will get worse.

I don’t buy crates so being able to spend the gems from the free ones, full of unwanted items, is a bonus. If this unnecessary cosmetic stuff was crowns only I and many like me would not be happy.

You can’t please everyone all the time.

And then they put some cool stuff in there that you can't buy in the crown store. And now they have begun inflating the gems just like they did the crowns. What's next?

Can we please scrap all this and just go back the crown store like you had it in the first year of the game? You guys really need to reign in your marketing team. They are running out of control.

Agreed. I hate this gem system. I really wanted the Senche mount because I collect them. I would have gladly paid crowns to buy it. I paid 4500 for the Dro-M'athra when it came out. There is no way I will risk gambling on crates or buy enough to get 400 gems. Thats hundreds of dollars and insane.

I always wonder why people act like this is news. Loot crates are never worth your money. They're meant to be a gambling thing. You don't go around saying "Casinos are not worth your money!!!" do you?

the motiff sold in crown gems its pretty much an abortion. not worth the gems or the time wasted trying to fish it guys.

I opened 165 crates (for gems for next few season) and was still four pieces shy of a full motif book. Drop rates are universally bad. Got the ice wolf (bleh—but best of the worst), three mounts and other rubbish. A truly dreadful season overall.

Well your purchase of 165 crates certainly means positive feedback to ZOS about the seaoson.

If the season was "truly dreadful", why did you support it to such an extent?
