Crown Store to Crown Crate Recycling - Why?

Just wondering why the Crown Store items that have been removed (phased out at a cheaper Crowns ‘sale’ price) are now showing up in Crown Crates.

Is this laziness, a money grab or did ZeniMax think we wouldn’t notice?

Laziness and money grab, of course.

They need things to bulk out the crates, and if somebody really wants one of these older items they might buy crates in the hope of getting it.

When first announcing crates, it was said there would be only ever items in them that r old or reskinned crown store items.

Lets also remember: There's a notable demographic of individuals who really hates anything limited-time outright coming back. They're rare-hunters who complain when something that makes them feel exclusive is purchasable by the masses.

This method also locks those items away so most of the players like that stay happy, and it's one less thing to blow up the forums about.

They're taking that white tiger pet out of the crown store, so expect it to show up in crates in 6 months.
Basically, if you buy from the store, there's no reason to buy crates, and visa-versa.
