ESO Crashes when Logging to Character Select or when Quitting Game

Playing on NA PC - Stand Alone game; not through Steam
Windows 7 (yes, I'm a hold out lol.. can't stand Windows 10)
This is something that's been getting worse over time. I used to be able to quit the game or change characters without a problem.
The game somewhat recently (last month or so maybe) started crashing when quitting game - annoying, but not "terrible" considering I'm quitting the game anyway at that point. Still, not something that should happen.
But now, in the last couple weeks or so, it's happening when I want to log out, to switch characters, etc. I have to let the game crash, then re-launch and re-log in every time. Very annoying.
Not sure if there's some setting, or a missing runtime or something that's causing it, but I'd sure like to see it resolved at some point

iRouge✭✭Mine has been doing this too since the most recent update, that and extremely long loadings screens when porting between owned houses too.0

✭The system requirements have greatly increased since the Windows 7 days. Even if your computer was top of the line back then, that's still likely at least 6 years.

They just recently added multi-core CPU support, shoehorned in really. It's not going to function perfectly with every CPU even, especially older ones with fewer cores.
My computer is right there with you being at least 5 years old, but I started with Windows 8.1 and had it built for that and then upgraded to Windows 10 because my Xbox 360 controller stopped working right and also had to go to an Xbox One controller.
If you didn't know, Windows 10 is different enough from how Windows 7 worked that Microsoft was advising completely new hardware back when they first announced it. I think that was even the case for 8.1. They were also giving out free upgrades to 10 to move people over because they eventually want to stop support for 7 like they did for Windows XP..
I'm pretty sure that the version of DirectX required for this game, 11, is not fully supported on Windows 7 since it came after Microsoft had already released 8.1.0 -
